NEW AMERICAN BIBLENOVA VULGATA
1 For the leader. A song of the Korahites. According to alamoth.1 Magistro chori. Filiorum Core. Secundum " Virgines... ".Canticum.
2 God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress.2 Deus est nobis refugium et virtus,
adiutorium in tribulationibus inventus est nimis.
3 Thus we do not fear, though earth be shaken and mountains quake to the depths of the sea,3 Propterea non timebimus, dum turbabitur terra,
et transferentur montes in cor maris.
4 Though its waters rage and foam and mountains totter at its surging. The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah4 Fremant et intumescant aquae eius, conturbentur montes in elatione eius.
5 Streams of the river gladden the city of God, the holy dwelling of the Most High.5 Fluminis rivi laetificant civitatem Dei,
sancta tabernacula Altissimi.
6 God is in its midst; it shall not be shaken; God will help it at break of day.6 Deus in medio eius, non commovebitur;
adiuvabit eam Deus mane diluculo.
7 Though nations rage and kingdoms totter, God's voice thunders and the earth trembles.7 Fremuerunt gentes, commota sunt regna;
dedit vocem suam, liquefacta est terra.
8 The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah8 Dominus virtutum nobiscum,
refugium nobis Deus Iacob.
9 Come and see the works of the LORD, who has done fearsome deeds on earth;9 Venite et videte opera Domini,
quae posuit prodigia super terram.
Auferet bella usque ad finem terrae,
10 Who stops wars to the ends of the earth, breaks the bow, splinters the spear, and burns the shields with fire;10 arcum conteret et confringet arma
et scuta comburet igne.
11 Who says: "Be still and confess that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth."11 Vacate et videte quoniam ego sum Deus:
exaltabor in gentibus et exaltabor in terra.
12 The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah12 Dominus virtutum nobiscum,
refugium nobis Deus Iacob.
