Psalms 46

2 God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress.	2 Dieu est pour nous refuge et force, secours dans l'angoisse toujours offert.
3 Thus we do not fear, though earth be shaken and mountains quake to the depths of the sea,	3 Aussi ne craindrons-nous si la terre est changée, si les montagnes chancellent au coeur des mers,
4 Though its waters rage and foam and mountains totter at its surging. The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah	4 lorsque mugissent et bouillonnent leurs eaux et que tremblent les monts à leur soulèvement. (Avecnous, Yahvé Sabaot, citadelle pour nous, le Dieu de Jacob! )
5 Streams of the river gladden the city of God, the holy dwelling of the Most High.	5 Un fleuve! Ses bras réjouissent la cité de Dieu, il sanctifie les demeures du Très-Haut.
6 God is in its midst; it shall not be shaken; God will help it at break of day.	6 Dieu est en elle; elle ne peut chanceler, Dieu la secourt au tournant du matin;
7 Though nations rage and kingdoms totter, God's voice thunders and the earth trembles.	7 des peuples mugissaient, des royaumes chancelaient, il a élevé la voix, la terre se dissout.
8 The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah	8 Avec nous, Yahvé Sabaot, citadelle pour nous, le Dieu de Jacob!
9 Come and see the works of the LORD, who has done fearsome deeds on earth;	9 Allez, contemplez les hauts faits de Yahvé, lui qui remplit la terre de stupeurs.
10 Who stops wars to the ends of the earth, breaks the bow, splinters the spear, and burns the shields with fire;	10 Il met fin aux guerres jusqu'au bout de la terre; l'arc, il l'a rompu, la lance, il l'a brisée, il a brûléles boucliers au feu.
11 Who says: "Be still and confess that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth."	11 "Arrêtez, connaissez que moi je suis Dieu, exalté sur les peuples, exalté sur la terre! "
