1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.	1 (Per la fine, per gli strettoi. Salmo di David).
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.	2 O Signore, nostro Signore, quanto è ammirabile il tuo nome in tutta la terra! La tua maestà s'innalza al di sopra dei cieli.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;	3 Dalla bocca dei bambini e dei lattanti hai fatto sgorgare perfetta lode a confusione dei tuoi nemici, per annientare l'avversario e il vendicativo.
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?	4 Quando contemplo i tuoi cieli, l'opera delle tue dita, la luna e le stelle da te disposte,
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.	5 Che è l'uomo da ricordarti di lui, o il figlio dell'uomo da visitarlo?
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:	6 Lo hai fatto di poco inferiore agli angeli, lo hai coronato di maestà e di gloria,
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;	7 L'hai costituito sopra l'opera delle tue mani.
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.	8 Tutto hai sottoposto ai suoi piedi: le pecore e tutti i buoi ed anche le fiere della campagna.
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!	9 Gli uccelli dell'aria e i pesci del mare, che percorrono le vie del mare.
	10 O Signore, Signore nostro, quanto è ammirabile il tuo nome in tutta la terra!
