1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.	1 Salmo di David. Signore, Signor nostro, quanta ammirabile è il nome tuo per tutta quanta la terra! Perocché la tua maestà è elevata fin sopra de' cieli.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.	2 E dalla bocca de' fanciulli, e de' bambini di latte tu bai ricavata per fetta laude contro de' tuoi nemici, per distruggere il nemico, e il vendicativo.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;	3 Or io miro i tuoi cieli, opere delle tue dita, la luna, e le stelle disposte da te.
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?	4 Che è l'uomo, che tu di lui ti ricordi; od il figliuolo dell'uomo, che tu lo visiti?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.	5 Lo hai fatto per alcun poco inferiore agli Angeli, lo hai coronato di gloria, e di onore,
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:	6 E lo hai costituito sopra le opere delle tue mani.
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;	7 Tutte quante le cose hai soggettate a' piedi di lui, le pecore, e i bovi tutti, e le fiere della campagna.
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.	8 Gli uccelli dell'aria, e i pesci del mare, i quali camminano le vie del mare.
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!	9 Signore, Signor nostro, quanto ammirabile è il nome tuo per tutta quanta la terra!
