1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.	1 - Al corifeo: per la vendemmia (?). Salmo di David.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.	2 Signore, Iddio nostro, quant' è ammirabile il tuo nome su tutta la terra! Poichè s' inalza la tua magnificenza al di sopra de' cieli:
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;	3 dalla bocca [stessa] de' bambini e de' lattantiti sei procacciato lode a scorno de' tuoi nemici, per annientare l'avversario e il vendicativo.
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?	4 Quando miro i tuoi cieli, opera delle tue dita, la luna e le stelle che tu v'hai disposto;
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.	5 «Cos'è l'uomo,» [esclamò] «Che tu ti ricordi di lui? o il figliuolo dell'uomo, perché di lui tu ti prenda cura?».
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:	6 [Eppure] di poco l'hai fatto inferiore agli angeli, di gloria e d'onore l'hai coronato;
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;	7 e l'hai posto a capo delle opere delle tue mani, tutto hai messo sotto i suoi piedi:
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.	8 le pecore e i buoi tuttie le bestie ancora della campagna,
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!	9 gli uccelli del cielo e i pesci del mare, che batton le vie del mare.
	10 Signore, Iddio nostro, quant'è ammirabile il tuo nome su tutta la terra!
