2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.	2 Yahvé, notre Seigneur, qu'il est puissant ton nom par toute la terre! Lui qui redit ta majesté plushaute que les cieux
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;	3 par la bouche des enfants, des tout petits, tu l'établis, lieu fort, à cause de tes adversaires pour réduirel'ennemi et le rebelle.
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?	4 A voir ton ciel, ouvrage de tes doigts, la lune et les étoiles, que tu fixas,
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.	5 qu'est donc le mortel, que tu t'en souviennes, le fils d'Adam, que tu le veuilles visiter?
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:	6 A peine le fis-tu moindre qu'un dieu; tu le couronnes de gloire et de beauté,
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;	7 pour qu'il domine sur l'oeuvre de tes mains; tout fut mis par toi sous ses pieds,
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.	8 brebis et boeufs, tous ensemble, et même les bêtes des champs,
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!	9 l'oiseau du ciel et les poissons de la mer, quand il va par les sentiers des mers.
	10 Yahvé, notre Seigneur, qu'il est puissant ton nom par toute la terre!
