1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.	1 Al maestro di coro. Secondo la melodia ghittita. Salmo. Di Davide.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.	2 O Signore nostro Dio, quanto mirabile è il tuo nome su tutta la terra!
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;	3 La tua maestà voglio adorare nei cieli con labbra di pargoli e di lattanti. Una fortezza hai costruito per tua dimora, riducendo al silenzio i tuoi avversari, il nemico e il vendicatore.
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?	4 Quando contemplo i cieli, opera delle tue mani, la luna e le stelle che tu hai fissate,
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.	5 che cos'è l'uomo perché ti ricordi di lui? Che cos'è il figlio d'uomo, ché di lui ti prendi cura?
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:	6 Sì, di poco l'hai fatto inferiore ai celesti e di gloria e di onore tu lo circondi;
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;	7 qual signore l'hai costituito sulle opere delle tue mani; tutto hai posto sotto i suoi piedi:
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.	8 pecore e buoi nella loro totalità insieme a tutte le bestie del campo;
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!	9 gli uccelli del cielo e i pesci del mare, ogni essere che percorre le vie marine.
	10 O Signore nostro Dio, quanto mirabile è il tuo nome su tutta la terra!
