KING JAMES BIBLEDOUAI-RHEIMS
I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.1 Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of Asaph.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.2 I cried to the Lord with my voice; to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me.
I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.3 In the day of my trouble I sought God, with my hands lifted up to him in the night, and I was not deceived. My soul refused to be comforted:
Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.4 I remembered God, and was delighted, and was exercised, and my spirit swooned away.
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.5 My eyes prevented the watches: I was troubled, and I spoke not.
I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.6 I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years.
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?7 And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.
Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?8 Will God then cast off for ever? or will he never be more favourable again?
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.9 Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation?
And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.10 Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies?
I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.11 And I said, Now have I begun: this is the change of the right hand of the most High.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.12 I remembered the works of the Lord: for I will be mindful of thy wonders from the beginning.
Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?13 And I will meditate on all thy works: and will be employed in thy inventions.
Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.14 Thy way, O God, is in the holy place: who is the great God like our God?
Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.15 Thou art the God that dost wonders. Thou hast made thy power known among the nations:
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.16 with thy arm thou hast redeemed thy people the children of Jacob and of Joseph.
The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.17 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: and they were afraid, and the depths were troubled.
The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.18 Great was the noise of the waters: the clouds sent out a sound. For thy arrows pass:
Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.19 the voice of thy thunder in a wheel. Thy lightnings enlightened the world: the earth shook and trembled.
Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.20 Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters: and thy footsteps shall not be known.
Thou hast conducted thy people like sheep, by the hand of Moses and Aaron
