Psalms 29

1 Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.	1 A psalm of David. Give to the LORD, you heavenly beings, give to the LORD glory and might;
2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.	2 Give to the LORD the glory due God's name. Bow down before the LORD'S holy splendor!
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.	3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over the mighty waters.
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.	4 The voice of the LORD is power; the voice of the LORD is splendor.
5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.	5 The voice of the LORD cracks the cedars; the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon,
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.	6 Makes Lebanon leap like a calf, and Sirion like a young bull.
7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire.	7 The voice of the LORD strikes with fiery flame;
8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.	8 the voice of the LORD rocks the desert; the LORD rocks the desert of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.	9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. All in his palace say, "Glory!"
10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.	10 The LORD sits enthroned above the flood! The LORD reigns as king forever!
11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.	11 May the LORD give might to his people; may the LORD bless his people with peace!
