Psalms 132

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:	1 Cantique des montées. Garde mémoire à David, Yahvé, de tout son labeur,
2 How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;	2 du serment qu'il fit à Yahvé, de son voeu au Puissant de Jacob:
3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;	3 "Point n'entrerai sous la tente, ma maison, point ne monterai sur le lit de mon repos,
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,	4 point ne donnerai de sommeil à mes yeux et point de répit à mes paupières,
5 Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.	5 que je ne trouve un lieu pour Yahvé, un séjour au Puissant de Jacob! "
6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.	6 Voici: on parle d'Elle en Ephrata, nous l'avons découverte aux Champs-du-Bois!
7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.	7 Entrons au lieu où Il séjourne, prosternons-nous devant son marchepied.
8 Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.	8 Lève-toi, Yahvé, vers ton repos, toi et l'arche de ta force.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.	9 Tes prêtres se vêtent de justice, tes fidèles crient de joie.
10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.	10 A cause de David ton serviteur, n'écarte pas la face de ton messie.
11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.	11 Yahvé l'a juré à David, vérité dont jamais il ne s'écarte: "C'est le fruit sorti de tes entrailles que jemettrai sur le trône fait pour toi.
12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.	12 Si tes fils gardent mon alliance, mon témoignage que je leur ai enseigné, leurs fils eux-mêmes àtout jamais siégeront sur le trône fait pour toi."
13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.	13 Car Yahvé a fait choix de Sion, il a désiré ce siège pour lui:
14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.	14 "C'est ici mon repos à tout jamais, là je siégerai, car je l'ai désiré.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.	15 Sa nourriture, je la bénirai de bénédiction ses pauvres, je les rassasierai de pain,
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.	16 ses prêtres, je les vêtirai de salut et ses fidèles jubileront de joie.
17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.	17 Là, je susciterai une lignée à David, j'apprêterai une lampe pour mon messie;
18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.	18 ses ennemis, je les vêtirai de honte, mais sur lui fleurira son diadème."
