2 Corinthians 6

1 And we helping do exhort you, that you receive not the grace of God in vain.	1 E poiché siamo suoi collaboratori, vi esortiamo altresì a non ricevere invano la grazia di Dio.
2 For he saith: In an accepted time have I heard thee; and in the day of salvation have I helped thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.	2 Egli infatti dice: Nel tempo accetto ti ho esaudito, nel giorno della salvezza ti ho soccorso. Ecco, è adesso il tempo molto accetto; ecco, adesso è il giorno della salvezza.
3 Giving no offence to any man, that our ministry be not blamed:	3 Noi non diamo in cosa alcuna motivo di scandalo, affinché il nostro ministero non sia oggetto di vituperio.
4 But in all things let us exhibit ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in tribulation, in necessities, in distresses,	4 Anzi, come ministri di Dio, ci rendiamo commendevoli in tutto: con molta pazienza nelle tribolazioni, nelle necessità, nelle strettezze;
5 In stripes, in prisons, in seditions, in labours, in watchings, in fastings,	5 sotto i colpi, nelle prigioni, nei tumulti, nelle fatiche, nelle veglie, nei digiuni;
6 In chastity, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in sweetness, in the Holy Ghost, in charity unfeigned,	6 con purità d’animo, con scienza, con pazienza, con bontà, con lo Spirito Santo, con carità senza simulazione,
7 In the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armour of justice on the right hand and on the left;	7 con la parola di verità, con la forza di Dio; mediante È armi di destra e di sinistra della giustizia,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet known;	8 nell’onore e nel disonore, nella cattiva come nella buona fama; considerati come imbroglioni, benché siamo veritieri;
9 As dying, and behold we live; as chastised, and not killed;	9 come sconosciuti, quantunque ben noti; come moribondi e invece, ecco, siamo vivi; come sottoposti al castigo, eppure non veniamo uccisi;
10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as needy, yet enriching many; as having nothing, and possessing all things.	10 come fossimo afflitti, mentre sempre siamo contenti; come poveri, noi che arricchiamo molti; come nullatenenti, benché in sicuro possesso di tutto!
11 Our mouth is open to you, O ye Corinthians, our heart is enlarged.	11 La nostra bocca si è aperta a voi, o Corinzi; il nostro cuore si è dilatato.
12 You are not straitened in us, but in your own bowels you are straitened.	12 C'è per voi un largo spazio nel nostro cuore; voi invece, nei vostri cuori ci riducete in un angolo.
13 But having the same recompense, (I speak as to my children,) be you also enlarged.	13 Rendete allora in egual misura il contraccambio! Vi parlo come a figli: fatemi posto anche voi!
14 Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness?	14 Non vogliate porvi sotto un giogo diverso con gli infedeli! Quale comunanza è possibile tra la giustizia e l’iniquità? ovvero, che cosa ha di comune la luce con le tenebre?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?	15 quale accordo vi può essere tra Cristo e Beliar? o che cosa ha da dividere il fedele con l’infedele?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God saith: I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.	16 quale compatibilità c’è tra il tempio di Dio e gli idoli ? Poiché noi siamo il tempio del Dio vivo, come lo disse Iddio: Abiterò e camminerò in mezzo ad essi: sarò loro Dio ed essi saranno mio popolo.
17 Wherefore, Go out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing:	17 Perciò, uscite di mezzo a quelli, separatevi da essi; non toccate ciò che è impuro ed io vi accoglierò,
18 And I will receive you; and I will be a Father to you; and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.	18 sarò per voi padre e voi sarete per me figli e figlie, dice il Signore onnipotente!
