Livro dos Salmos 85

SAGRADA BIBLIA	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Ao mestre de canto. Salmo dos filhos de Coré. Fostes propício, Senhor, à vossa terra; restabelecestes a sorte de Jacó.	1 Unto the end, for the sons of Core, a psalm.
2 A iniqüidade de vosso povo perdoastes, foram por vós cobertos seus pecados.	2 Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.
3 Aplacastes toda a vossa cólera, refreastes o furor de vossa ira.	3 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered all their sins.
4 Restaurai-nos, ó Deus, nosso salvador, ponde termo à indignação que tínheis contra nós.	4 Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: thou best turned away from the wrath of thy indignation.
5 Acaso será eterna contra nós a vossa cólera? Estendereis vossa ira sobre todas as gerações?	5 Convert us, O God our saviour: and turn off thy anger from us.
6 Não nos restituireis a vida, para que vosso povo se rejubile em vós?	6 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation?
7 Mostrai-nos, Senhor, a vossa misericórdia, e dai-nos a vossa salvação.	7 Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.
8 Escutarei o que diz o Senhor Deus, porque ele diz palavras de paz ao seu povo, para seus fiéis, e àqueles cujos corações se voltam para ele.	8 Shew us, O Lord, thy mercy; and grant us thy salvation.
9 Sim, sua salvação está bem perto dos que o temem, de sorte que sua glória retornará à nossa terra.	9 I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: for he will speak peace unto his people: And unto his saints: and unto them that are converted to the heart.
10 A bondade e a fidelidade outra vez se irão unir, a justiça e a paz de novo se darão as mãos.	10 Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.
11 A verdade brotará da terra, e a justiça olhará do alto do céu.	11 Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.
12 Enfim, o Senhor nos dará seus benefícios, e nossa terra produzirá seu fruto.	12 Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice hath looked down from heaven.
13 A justiça caminhará diante dele, e a felicidade lhe seguirá os passos.	13 For the Lord will give goodness: and our earth shall yield her fruit.
	14 Justice shall walk before him: and shall set his steps in the way.
