1 Ao mestre de canto. Salmo de Davi. Cântico. A vós, ó Deus, convém o louvor em Sião, é a vós que todos vêm cumprir os seus votos,	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David Song] Praise is rightful y yours, God, in Zion. Vows to you shallbe fulfil ed,
2 vós que atendeis as preces. Todo homem acorre a vós,	2 for you answer prayer. All humanity must come to you
3 por causa de seus pecados. Oprime-nos o peso de nossas faltas: vós no-las perdoais.	3 with its sinful deeds. Our faults overwhelm us, but you blot them out.
4 Feliz aquele que vós escolheis, e chamais para habitar em vossos átrios. Possamos nós ser saciados dos bens de vossa casa, da santidade de vosso templo.	4 How blessed those whom you choose and invite to dwell in your courts. We shal be filled with thegood things of your house, of your holy temple.
5 Vós nos atendeis com os estupendos prodígios de vossa justiça, ó Deus, nosso salvador. Vós sois a esperança dos confins da terra, e dos mais longínquos mares.	5 You respond to us with the marvels of your saving justice, God our Saviour, hope of the whole wideworld, even the distant islands.
6 Vós que, com a vossa força, sustentais montanhas, cingido de vosso poder.	6 By your strength you hold the mountains steady, being clothed in power,
7 Vós que aplacais os vagalhões do mar, o bramir de suas vagas e o tumultuar das nações pagãs.	7 you calm the turmoil of the seas, the turmoil of their waves. The nations are in uproar, in panic thosewho live at the ends of the earth;
8 À vista de vossos prodígios, temem-vos os habitantes dos confins da terra; saciais de alegria os extremos do oriente e do ocidente.	8 your miracles bring shouts of joy to the gateways of morning and evening.
9 Visitastes a terra e a regastes, cumulando-a de fertilidade. De água encheu-se a divina fonte e fizestes germinar o trigo. Assim, pois, fertilizastes a terra:	9 You visit the earth and make it fruitful, you fill it with riches; the river of God brims over with water, youprovide the grain. To that end
10 irrigastes os seus sulcos, nivelastes e as sua glebas; amolecendo-as com as chuvas, abençoastes a sua sementeira.	10 you water its furrows abundantly, level its ridges, soften it with showers and bless its shoots.
11 Coroaste o ano com os vossos benefícios; onde passastes ficou a fartura.	11 You crown the year with your generosity, richness seeps from your tracks,
12 Umedecidas as pastagens do deserto, revestem-se de alegria as colinas.	12 the pastures of the desert grow moist, the hillsides are wrapped in joy,
13 Os prados são cobertos de rebanhos, e os vales se enchem de trigais. Só há júbilo e cantos de alegria.	13 the meadows are covered with flocks, the val eys clothed with wheat; they shout and sing for joy.
