1 Cântico das peregrinações. Na hora da tribulação, clamei ao Senhor e ele me atendeu.	1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains; from thence help will come to me.
2 Senhor, livrai minha alma dos lábios mentirosos e da língua pérfida.	2 My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 Que ganharás, qual será teu proveito, ó língua pérfida?	3 May he not allow your foot to be moved, and may he not slumber, who guards you.
4 Flechas agudas de guerreiro, carvões ardentes de giesta.	4 Behold, he who guards Israel will neither sleep, nor slumber.
5 Ai de mim por habitar em Mesec e viver em meio às tendas de Cedar!	5 The Lord is your keeper, the Lord is your protection, above your right hand.
6 Por muito tempo minha alma tem vivido com aqueles que detestam a paz.	6 The sun will not burn you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Só quero a paz, mas quando dela lhes falo, eles se dispõem para a guerra.	7 The Lord guards you from all evil. May the Lord guard your soul.
