Proverbi 2

LA SACRA BIBBIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Figlio mio, se accoglierai le mie parole e conserverai con te i miei precetti,	1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 volgendo alla sapienza il tuo orecchio, inclinerai il tuo cuore all'intelligenza;	2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 anzi se farai appello all'acutezza, all'intelligenza rivolgendo il tuo grido;	3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 se la ricercherai come l'argento e come un tesoro l'andrai scovando:	4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 allora scoprirai il timore del Signore e la scienza di Dio tu troverai.	5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 Veramente il Signore dona sapienza, dalla sua bocca viene scienza e intelligenza.	6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 Egli riserva ai retti l'assistenza, scudo per chi cammina integramente.	7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 Proteggendo le vie della giustizia custodisce il cammino dei suoi amici.	8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Allora comprenderai la giustizia e il diritto, l'equità e ogni via della felicità.	9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 Quando sarà entrata la sapienza nel tuo cuore e la scienza avrà deliziato la tua anima,	10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 la prudenza veglierà su te e l'assennatezza ti custodirà,	11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 strappandoti dalla via del male, dall'uomo dalle idee perverse,	12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 da quelli che abbandonano le vie diritte per mettersi nelle vie oscure,	13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 che si dilettano a fare il male, esultano nelle perversità del male,	14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 devìano i propri sentieri, sviano nei loro cammini;	15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16 strappandoti dalla donna altrui, dalla straniera che sa adoperare parole melliflue,	16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 che ha lasciato il compagno della sua giovinezza e ha dimenticato il patto del suo Dio.	17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 Veramente la sua casa va verso la morte e verso le ombre i suoi sentieri.	18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 Chi si incammina verso di lei non ritorna indietro e non raggiunge i sentieri della vita.	19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 Così camminerai per la via dei buoni e i sentieri dei giusti tu custodirai.	20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 Sì, i retti dimoreranno nel paese, i puri vi saranno lasciati.	21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 Gli empi invece saranno cancellati, i fedifraghi saranno sradicati.	22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
