1 Ed ecco la benedizione con la quale Mosè, uomo di Dio, benedisse gli Israeliti prima di morire.	1 This is the blessing that Moses, man of God, pronounced over the Israelites before he died.

15 la primizia dei monti antichi, il meglio dei colli eterni	15 the first-fruits of the ancient mountains, the best from the hil s of old
16 e il meglio della terra e di ciò che contiene. Il favore di Colui che abitava nel roveto venga sul capo di Giuseppe, sulla testa del principe tra i suoi fratelli!	16 the best of the land and al it holds, the favour of him who dwells in the Bush. May the hair grow thickon the head of Joseph, on the brow of the consecrated one among his brothers!
17 Come primogenito di toro, egli è d'aspetto maestoso e le sue corna sono di bùfalo; con esse cozzerà contro i popoli, tutti insieme, sino ai confini della terra. Tali sono le miriadi di Èfraim e tali le migliaia di Manàsse".	17 First-born of the Bul , his the glory. 24 Per Aser disse: "Benedetto tra i figli è Aser! Sia il favorito tra i suoi fratelli e tuffi il suo piede nell'olio.	24 Of Asher he said: Most blessed of the sons let Asher be! Let him be the most privileged of hisbrothers and let him bathe his feet in oil!
25 Di ferro e di rame siano i tuoi catenacci e quanto i tuoi giorni duri il tuo vigore.	25 Be your bolts of iron and of bronze and your security as lasting as your days!
26 Nessuno è pari al Dio di Iesurun, che cavalca sui cieli per venirti in aiuto e sulle nubi nella sua maestà.	26 No one is like the God of Jeshurun: he rides the heavens to your rescue, rides the clouds in hismajesty!
27 Rifugio è il Dio dei tempi antichi e quaggiù lo sono le sue braccia eterne. Ha scacciato davanti a te il nemico e ha intimato: Distruggi!	27 The God of old is your refuge, his the eternal arm which here below drives the enemy before you; heit is who says, 'Destroy!'
28 Israele abita tranquillo, la fonte di Giacobbe in luogo appartato, in terra di frumento e di mosto, dove il cielo stilla rugiada.	28 Israel rests trustfully. The well-spring of Jacob is chosen out for a land of corn and wine; thereheaven itself rains down dew.
29 Te beato, Israele! Chi è come te, popolo salvato dal Signore? Egli è lo scudo della tua difesa e la spada del tuo trionfo. I tuoi nemici vorranno adularti, ma tu calcherai il loro dorso".	29 Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, O victorious people? Yahweh is the shield that protectsyou and the sword that leads you to triumph. Your enemies wil try to corrupt you, but you yourself wil trample ontheir backs.
