1 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 "Parla ad Aronne, ai suoi figli e a tutti gli Israeliti e riferisci loro: Questo il Signore ha ordinato:	2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons and al the Israelites and say: "This is the order that Yahweh has given:
3 Qualunque Israelita scanna un bue o un agnello o una capra entro il campo o fuori del campo	3 "Any man of the House of Israel who slaughters a bull, lamb or goat, whether inside the camp oroutside it,
4 e non lo conduce all'ingresso della tenda del convegno per presentarlo come offerta al Signore davanti alla Dimora del Signore, sarà considerato colpevole di delitto di sangue: ha sparso il sangue e questo uomo sarà eliminato dal suo popolo.	4 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to make an offering of it to Yahweh in front ofhis Dwel ing, that man wil be answerable for bloodshed; he has shed blood, and that man wil be outlawed fromhis people.
5 Perciò gli Israeliti, invece d'immolare, come fanno, le loro vittime nei campi, li portino al Signore, presentandoli al sacerdote all'ingresso della tenda del convegno, e li offrano al Signore come sacrifici di comunione.	5 The purpose of this is that the Israelites should instead bring their sacrifices, which they wouldotherwise offer in the countryside, to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and offer themas communion sacrifices to Yahweh;
6 Il sacerdote ne spanderà il sangue sull'altare del Signore, all'ingresso della tenda del convegno, e brucerà il grasso in profumo soave per il Signore.	6 and the priest wil sprinkle the blood on Yahweh's altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and willburn the fat as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
7 Essi non offriranno più i loro sacrifici ai satiri, ai quali sogliono prostituirsi. Questa sarà per loro una legge perenne, di generazione in generazione.	7 No longer may they offer their sacrifices to the satyrs in whose service they used to prostitutethemselves. This is a perpetual law for them and for their descendants."
8 Dirai loro ancora: Ogni uomo, Israelita o straniero dimorante in mezzo a loro che offrirà un olocausto o un sacrificio,	8 'You will also say to them, "Any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien who offers a burntoffering or sacrifice
9 senza portarlo all'ingresso della tenda del convegno per immolarlo al Signore, quest'uomo sarà eliminato dal suo popolo.	9 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to offer it to Yahweh, will be outlawed from hispeople.
10 Ogni uomo, Israelita o straniero dimorante in mezzo a loro, che mangi di qualsiasi specie di sangue, contro di lui, che ha mangiato il sangue, io volgerò la faccia e lo eliminerò dal suo popolo.	10 "If any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien consumes blood of any kind, I shal set myface against that individual who consumes blood and shal outlaw him from his people.
11 Poiché la vita della carne è nel sangue. Perciò vi ho concesso di porlo sull'altare in espiazione per le vostre vite; perché il sangue espia, in quanto è la vita.	11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you for performing the rite of expiationon the altar for your lives, for blood is what expiates for a life.
12 Perciò ho detto agli Israeliti: Nessuno tra voi mangerà il sangue, neppure lo straniero che soggiorna fra voi mangerà sangue.	12 That is why I told the Israelites: None of you wil consume blood, nor wil any resident alien consumeblood.
13 Se uno qualunque degli Israeliti o degli stranieri che soggiornano fra di loro prende alla caccia un animale o un uccello che si può mangiare, ne deve spargere il sangue e coprirlo di terra;	13 "Anyone, whether Israelite or resident alien, who hunts and catches game, whether animal or bird,which it is lawful to eat, must pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
14 perché la vita di ogni essere vivente è il suo sangue, in quanto sua vita; perciò ho ordinato agli Israeliti: Non mangerete sangue di alcuna specie di essere vivente, perché il sangue è la vita d'ogni carne; chiunque ne mangerà sarà eliminato.	14 For the life of every creature is its blood, and I have told the Israelites: You wil not consume theblood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood, and anyone who consumes it wil be outlawed.
15 Qualunque persona, nativa del paese o straniera, che mangerà carne di bestia morta naturalmente o sbranata, dovrà lavarsi le vesti, bagnarsi nell'acqua e sarà immonda fino alla sera; allora sarà monda.	15 "Anyone, citizen or alien, who eats an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged, mustwash clothing and body, and wil be unclean until evening, but wil then be clean.
16 Ma se non si lava le vesti e il corpo, porterà la pena della sua iniquità".	16 But anyone who does not wash clothing and body wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '
