1 Il Signore aggiunse a Mosè:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 "Questa è la legge da applicare per il lebbroso per il giorno della sua purificazione. Egli sarà condotto al sacerdote.	2 'This is the law to be applied on the day of the purification of someone who has suffered from acontagious skin-disease. Such a person wil be taken to the priest,
3 Il sacerdote uscirà dall'accampamento e lo esaminerà; se riscontrerà che la piaga della lebbra è guarita nel lebbroso,	3 and the priest wil go outside the camp. If he finds on examination that the person has recovered fromthe disease,
4 ordinerà che si prendano, per la persona da purificare, due uccelli vivi, mondi, legno di cedro, panno scarlatto e issòpo.	4 he wil order the fol owing to be brought for his purification: two live birds that are clean, some cedar wood, scarlet material and hyssop.
5 Il sacerdote ordinerà di immolare uno degli uccelli in un vaso di terracotta con acqua viva.	5 He will then order one of the birds to be slaughtered in an earthenware pot over running water.
6 Poi prenderà l'uccello vivo, il legno di cedro, il panno scarlatto e l'issòpo e li immergerà, con l'uccello vivo, nel sangue dell'uccello sgozzato sopra l'acqua viva.	6 He will then take the live bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet material and the hyssop and dip all this(including the live bird) into the blood of the bird slaughtered over running water.
7 Ne aspergerà sette volte colui che deve essere purificato dalla lebbra; lo dichiarerà mondo e lascerà andare libero per i campi l'uccello vivo.	7 He will then sprinkle the person to be purified of the skin-disease seven times, and having declared theperson clean, wil set the live bird free to fly off into the countryside.
8 Colui che è purificato, si laverà le vesti, si raderà tutti i peli, si laverà nell'acqua e sarà mondo. Dopo questo potrà entrare nell'accampamento, ma resterà per sette giorni fuori della sua tenda.	8 The person who is being purified will then wash al clothing, shave off al hair, and wash, and wil thenbe clean. After this he will return to the camp, although he wil remain outside his tent for seven days.
9 Il settimo giorno si raderà tutti i peli, il capo, la barba, le ciglia, insomma tutti i peli; si laverà le vesti e si bagnerà il corpo nell'acqua e sarà mondo.	9 On the seventh day he wil shave off all his hair-head, beard and eyebrows; he wil shave off al hishair. After washing his clothing and his body he wil be clean.
10 L'ottavo giorno prenderà due agnelli senza difetto, un'agnella di un anno senza difetto, tre decimi di 'efa' di fior di farina, intrisa nell'olio, come oblazione, e un 'log' di olio;	10 'On the eighth day he wil take two unblemished lambs, an unblemished ewe one year old, three-tenths of wheaten flour mixed with oil for the cereal offering, and one log of oil.
11 il sacerdote che fa la purificazione, presenterà l'uomo che si purifica e le cose suddette davanti al Signore, all'ingresso della tenda del convegno.	11 The priest who is performing the purification will place the person who is being purified, with all hisofferings, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.
12 Il sacerdote prenderà uno degli agnelli e l'offrirà come sacrificio di riparazione, con il 'log' d'olio, e li agiterà come offerta da agitare secondo il rito davanti al Signore.	12 He wil then take one of the lambs and offer it as a sacrifice of reparation, as also the log of oil. Withthese he wil make the gesture of offering before Yahweh.
13 Poi immolerà l'agnello nel luogo dove si immolano le vittime espiatorie e gli olocausti, cioè nel luogo sacro poiché il sacrificio di riparazione è per il sacerdote, come quello espiatorio: è cosa sacrosanta.	13 He wil then slaughter the lamb on that spot inside the holy place where the victims for the sacrificefor sin and for the burnt offering are slaughtered. This reparatory offering, like the sacrifice for sin, wil revert tothe priest: it is especially holy.
14 Il sacerdote prenderà sangue del sacrificio di riparazione e bagnerà il lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che si purifica, il pollice della mano destra e l'alluce del piede destro.	14 The priest wil then take some blood of this sacrifice and put it on the lobe of the right ear, the thumbof the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is being purified.
15 Poi, preso l'olio dal 'log', lo verserà sulla palma della sua mano sinistra;	15 He wil then take the log of oil and pour a little into the hol ow of his left hand.
16 intingerà il dito della destra nell'olio che ha nella sinistra; con il dito spruzzerà sette volte quell'olio davanti al Signore.	16 He wil dip a finger of his right hand into the oil in the hollow of his left hand, and sprinkle the oil withhis finger seven times before Yahweh.
17 E del rimanente olio che tiene nella palma della mano, il sacerdote bagnerà il lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che si purifica, il pollice della destra e l'alluce del piede destro, sopra il sangue del sacrificio di riparazione.	17 He wil then take some of the oil left in the hollow of his hand and put it on the lobe of the right ear,the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified, in addition to the bloodof the sacrifice of reparation.
18 Il resto dell'olio che ha nella palma, il sacerdote lo verserà sul capo di colui che si purifica; così farà per lui il rito espiatorio davanti al Signore.	18 The rest of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he will put on the head of the person who is being purified.This is how the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for such a person before Yahweh.
19 Poi il sacerdote offrirà il sacrificio espiatorio e compirà l'espiazione per colui che si purifica della sua immondezza; quindi immolerà l'olocausto.	19 'The priest wil then offer the sacrifice for sin, and perform the rite of expiation for uncleanness for theperson who is being purified. After this, he wil slaughter the burnt offering
20 Offerto l'olocausto e l'oblazione sull'altare, il sacerdote eseguirà per lui il rito espiatorio e sarà mondo.	20 and offer this and the cereal offering on the altar. So, when the priest has performed the rite ofexpiation for him the person wil be clean.
21 Se quel tale è povero e non ha mezzi sufficienti, prenderà un agnello come sacrificio di riparazione da offrire con il rito dell'agitazione e compiere l'espiazione per lui e un decimo di 'efa' di fior di farina intrisa con olio, come oblazione, e un 'log' di olio.	21 'If he is poor and cannot afford al this, he need take only one lamb, the one for the sacrifice ofreparation, and this will be presented with the gesture of offering to perform the rite of expiation for him. And forthe cereal offering he wil only take one-tenth of wheaten flour mixed with oil, and the log of oil,
22 Prenderà anche due tortore o due colombi, secondo i suoi mezzi; uno sarà per il sacrificio espiatorio e l'altro per l'olocausto.	22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever he can afford, one for a sacrifice for sin and theother for the burnt offering.
23 L'ottavo giorno porterà per la sua purificazione queste cose al sacerdote, all'ingresso della tenda del convegno, davanti al Signore.	23 He wil bring these on the eighth day to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting beforeYahweh, for his purification.
24 Il sacerdote prenderà l'agnello del sacrificio di riparazione e il 'log' d'olio e li agiterà come offerta da agitare ritualmente davanti al Signore.	24 The priest wil take the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation and the log of oil, and present them beforeYahweh with the gesture of offering.
25 Poi immolerà l'agnello del sacrificio di riparazione, prenderà sangue della vittima di riparazione e bagnerà il lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che si purifica, il pollice della mano destra e l'alluce del piede destro.	25 He wil then slaughter the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation, take some of its blood and put it on thelobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is beingpurified.
26 Il sacerdote si verserà di quell'olio sulla palma della mano sinistra.	26 He wil pour the oil into the hol ow of his left hand,
27 Con il dito della sua destra spruzzerà sette volte quell'olio che tiene nella palma sinistra davanti al Signore.	27 and with his finger sprinkle the oil in the hol ow of his left hand seven times before Yahweh.
28 Poi bagnerà con l'olio che tiene nella palma, il lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che si purifica, il pollice della mano destra e l'alluce del piede destro, sul luogo dove ha messo il sangue del sacrificio di riparazione.	28 He wil then put some of the oil on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the bigtoe of the right foot of the person who is being purified, as he did with the blood of the sacrifice of reparation.
29 Il resto dell'olio che ha nella palma della mano, il sacerdote lo verserà sul capo di colui che si purifica, per fare espiazione per lui davanti al Signore.	29 The remainder of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he wil put on the head of the person who is beingpurified, thus performing the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh.
30 Poi sacrificherà una delle tortore o uno dei due colombi, che ha potuto procurarsi;	30 Of the two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- whatever he has been able to afford -- he wil offer
31 delle vittime che ha in mano, una l'offrirà come sacrificio espiatorio e l'altra come olocausto, insieme con l'oblazione; il sacerdote farà il rito espiatorio davanti al Signore per lui.	31 a sacrifice for sin with one, and with the other a burnt offering with a cereal offering -- whatever hehas been able to afford. This is how the priest will perform before Yahweh the rite of expiation for the person whois being purified.
32 Questa è la legge relativa a colui che è affetto da piaga di lebbra e non ha mezzi per procurarsi ciò che è richiesto per la sua purificazione".	32 'Such is the law concerning someone with a contagious skin-disease who cannot afford the means ofpurification.'
33 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè e ad Aronne:	33 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said:
34 "Quando sarete entrati nel paese di Canaan, che io sto per darvi in possesso, qualora io mandi un'infezione di lebbra in una casa del paese di vostra proprietà,	34 'When you reach Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, if I infect a house with adisease in the country which you are to possess,
35 il padrone della casa andrà a dichiararlo al sacerdote, dicendo: Mi pare che in casa mia ci sia come della lebbra.	35 the owner wil come and inform the priest and say, "I have seen something like a skin-disease in thehouse."
36 Allora il sacerdote ordinerà di sgomberare la casa prima che egli vi entri per esaminare la macchia sospetta perché quanto è nella casa non diventi immondo. Dopo questo, il sacerdote entrerà per esaminare la casa.	36 The priest wil order the house to be emptied before he goes to examine the infection, or everything inthe house wil become unclean; after which, the priest wil go inside and examine the house;
37 Esaminerà dunque la macchia; se vedrà che l'infezione sui muri della casa consiste in cavità verdastre o rossastre, che appaiono più profonde della superficie della parete,	37 and if on examination he finds the wal s of the house pitted with reddish or greenish depressionswhich appear to be eating away the wall,
38 il sacerdote uscirà dalla casa, alla porta, e farà chiudere la casa per sette giorni.	38 the priest wil then go out of the house, to the door, and shut it up for seven days.
39 Il settimo giorno il sacerdote vi tornerà e se, esaminandola, riscontrerà che la macchia si è allargata sulle pareti della casa,	39 On the seventh day, the priest will come back and if on examination he finds that the infection hasspread over the walls of the house,
40 il sacerdote ordinerà che si rimuovano le pietre intaccate e si gettino in luogo immondo, fuori di città.	40 he wil order the infected stones to be removed and thrown into some unclean place outside the town.
41 Farà raschiare tutto l'interno della casa e butteranno i calcinacci raschiati fuor di città, in luogo immondo.	41 He wil then have all the inside of the house scraped, and the plaster that comes off will be emptied inan unclean place outside the town.
42 Poi si prenderanno altre pietre e si metteranno al posto delle prime e si intonacherà la casa con altra calce.	42 The stones wil then be replaced with new ones and the house given a new coat of plaster.
43 Se l'infezione spunta di nuovo nella casa dopo che le pietre ne sono state rimosse e la casa è stata raschiata e intonacata,	43 'If the infection spreads again after the stones have been removed and the house scraped andreplastered,
44 il sacerdote entrerà ad esaminare la casa; trovato che la macchia vi si è allargata, nella casa vi è lebbra maligna; la casa è immonda.	44 the priest wil come and examine it. If he finds that the infection has spread, this means that there is acontagious disease in the house: it is unclean.
45 Perciò si demolirà la casa; pietre, legname e calcinacci si porteranno fuori della città, in luogo immondo.	45 It must be pul ed down and the stones, woodwork and al the plaster be taken to an unclean placeoutside the town.
46 Inoltre chiunque sarà entrato in quella casa mentre era chiusa, sarà immondo fino alla sera.	46 'Anyone who enters the house while it is closed wil be unclean until evening.
47 Chi avrà dormito in quella casa o chi vi avrà mangiato, si laverà le vesti.	47 Anyone who sleeps there wil wash his clothes. Anyone who eats there will wash his clothes.
48 Se invece il sacerdote che è entrato nella casa e l'ha esaminata, riscontra che la macchia non si è allargata nella casa, dopo che la casa è stata intonacata, dichiarerà la casa monda, perché la macchia è risanata.	48 But if the priest finds, when he comes to examine the infection, that it has not spread in the housesince it was plastered, he wil declare the house clean, for the infection is cured.
49 Poi, per purificare la casa, prenderà due uccelli, legno di cedro, panno scarlatto e issòpo;	49 'As a sacrifice for the defilement of the house, he wil take two birds, some cedar wood, scarletmaterial and hyssop.
50 immolerà uno degli uccelli in un vaso di terra con dentro acqua viva.	50 He wil slaughter one of the birds in an earthenware pot over running water.
51 Prenderà il legno di cedro, l'issòpo, il panno scarlatto e l'uccello vivo e li immergerà nel sangue dell'uccello immolato e nell'acqua viva e ne aspergerà sette volte la casa.	51 He wil then take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet material and the live bird, dip them into theblood of the slaughtered bird and into the running water and sprinkle the house seven times;
52 Purificata la casa con il sangue dell'uccello, con l'acqua viva, con l'uccello vivo, con il legno di cedro, con l'issòpo e con lo scarlatto,	52 and after offering the sacrifice for the defilement of the house with the blood of the bird, the runningwater, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet material,
53 lascerà andare libero l'uccello vivo, fuori città, per i campi; così farà il rito espiatorio per la casa ed essa sarà monda.	53 he wil set the live bird free to fly out of the town into the countryside. Once the rite of expiation hasbeen performed for the house in this way it wil be clean.
54 Questa è la legge per ogni sorta di infezione di lebbra o di tigna,	54 'Such is the law governing all kinds of skin-disease and tinea,
55 la lebbra delle vesti e della casa,	55 diseases of clothing and houses,
56 i tumori, le pustole e le macchie,	56 swel ings, scabs and spots. It defines the occasions when things are unclean and when clean.
57 per insegnare quando una cosa è immonda e quando è monda. Questa è la legge per la lebbra".	57 Such is the law on skin-diseases.'
