1 Riječ koju Jahve uputi proroku Jeremiji o Filistejcima prije nego što faraon osvoji Gazu.	1 The word of Yahweh that came to Jeremiah about the Philistines before Pharaoh attacked Gaza.
2 Ovako reče Jahve: »Evo, vode se dižu sa sjevera i kao nabujali brzaci poplavljuju zemlju i sve što je na njoj, gradove i sve njihovo pučanstvo. I ljudi vapiju, i kukaju svi žitelji zemlje,	2 'Yahweh says this: Look, the waters are rising from the north to become an overwhelming flood,overwhelming the country and all in it, the town and its inhabitants! 5 Gazi će biti obrijana glava, razoren Aškelon. A ti, Ašdode, ostače Anakovaca, dokle će te tuga razdirati?	5 Baldness has befallen Gaza, Ashkelon has been reduced to silence. You who remain in the val ey, howlong wil you gash yourselves?

7 Ali kako da se smiri, kad Jahvina ruka njime zapovijeda: na Aškelon i na morski žal on ga isuka.	7 Yet how can it rest when Yahweh has given it an order, Ashkelon and the sea coast, the targetsassigned to it?
