LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Preghiera di un afflitto che langue ed effonde davanti al Signore il suo lamento.	1 [Prayer of someone afflicted, who in misfortune pours out sorrows before Yahweh] Yahweh, hear myprayer, let my cry for help reach you.
2 Signore, ascolta la mia preghiera; giunga a te il mio grido.	2 Do not turn away your face from me when I am in trouble; bend down and listen to me, when I cal ,be quick to answer me!
3 Non tener nascosto da me il tuo volto, quando l'angoscia mi stringe. Protendi verso di me il tuo orecchio; quando t'invoco, non tardare a rispondermi.	3 For my days are vanishing like smoke, my bones burning like an oven;
4 Sì, si dileguano come fumo i miei giorni; ardono come brace le mie ossa.	4 like grass struck by blight, my heart is withering, I forget to eat my meals.
5 E' stato colpito il mio cuore e s'è inaridito come erba; trascuro di prendere perfino il cibo.	5 From the effort of voicing my groans my bones stick out through my skin.
6 A causa del mio gemere la mia pelle s'è attaccata alle ossa.	6 I am like a desert-owl in the wastes, a screech-owl among ruins,
7 Sono diventato come un pellicano del deserto, sono simile a un gufo fra le macerie.	7 I keep vigil and moan like a lone bird on a roof.
8 Nel continuo vegliare sono diventato come un passero, tutto solo sul tetto.	8 Al day long my enemies taunt me, those who once praised me now use me as a curse.
9 M'insultano tutti i giorni i miei nemici, sono furenti contro di me; imprecano sul mio nome.	9 Ashes are the food that I eat, my drink is mingled with tears,
10 Mi nutro di cenere come di pane, mescolo lacrime alle mie bevande.	10 because of your fury and anger, since you have raised me up only to cast me away;
11 Sì, per la tua ira e il tuo sdegno mi hai preso e mi hai gettato lontano.	11 my days are like a fading shadow, I am withering up like grass.
12 I miei giorni sono come ombra che s'allunga, mentre come erba mi sento inaridire.	12 But you, Yahweh, are enthroned for ever, each generation in turn remembers you.
13 Ma tu, Signore, rimani per sempre, il tuo ricordo, di generazione in generazione.	13 Rise up, take pity on Zion! the time has come to have mercy on her, the moment has come;
14 Tu sorgerai e avrai pietà di Sion; poiché è tempo di usarle misericordia, è giunta l'ora.	14 for your servants love her very stones, are moved to pity by her dust.
15 Sì, sono care ai tuoi servi le sue pietre; essi sentono pietà per le sue rovine.	15 Then wil the nations revere the name of Yahweh, and al the kings of the earth your glory;
16 Le genti temeranno il nome del Signore; la tua gloria, tutti i re della terra.	16 when Yahweh builds Zion anew, he will be seen in his glory;
17 Sì, il Signore ha ricostruito Sion ed è apparso nella sua gloria.	17 he wil turn to hear the prayer of the destitute, and wil not treat their prayer with scorn.
18 Egli ha esaudito la preghiera dei derelitti, non ha disprezzato la loro implorazione.	18 This shall be put on record for a future generation, and a people yet to be born shal praise God:
19 Questo venga scritto per la generazione futura, e un popolo rigenerato dia lode al Signore.	19 Yahweh has leaned down from the heights of his sanctuary, has looked down from heaven to earth,
20 Sì, il Signore ha guardato dall'alto del suo santuario, dal cielo ha mirato la terra,	20 to listen to the sighing of the captive, and set free those condemned to death,
21 per ascoltare il gemito del prigioniero, per liberare i votati alla morte,	21 to proclaim the name of Yahweh in Zion, his praise in Jerusalem;
22 e così annunzino in Sion il nome del Signore, e la sua lode in Gerusalemme,	22 nations wil gather together, and kingdoms to worship Yahweh.
23 quando insieme si raduneranno i popoli e i regni per servire il Signore.	23 In my journeying my strength has failed on the way;
24 E' stato abbattuto per via il mio vigore; sono stati accorciati i miei giorni.	24 let me know the short time I have left. Do not take me away before half my days are done, for youryears run on from age to age.
25 Io dico: "Mio Dio, non mi rapire alla metà dei miei giorni. I tuoi anni si protraggono per generazione e generazione.	25 Long ago you laid earth's foundations, the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 All'inizio tu fondasti la terra e opera delle tue mani furono i cieli.	26 They pass away but you remain; they al wear out like a garment, like outworn clothes you changethem;
27 Essi periranno, ma tu rimarrai; tutti loro si logoreranno come una veste, come un abito tu li muterai ed essi saranno mutati.	27 but you never alter, and your years never end.
28 Ma tu sei sempre lo stesso e i tuoi anni non verranno mai meno.	28 The children of those who serve you wil dwel secure, and their descendants live on in yourpresence.
29 I figli dei tuoi servi avranno una dimora e la loro progenie sarà salda davanti a te".
