2 Timoteo 4

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Te conjuro en presencia de Dios y de Cristo Jesús que ha de venir a juzgar a vivos y muertos, por su Manifestación y por su Reino:	1 Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in thename of his appearing and of his kingdom:
2 Proclama la Palabra, insiste a tiempo y a destiempo, reprende, amenaza, exhorta con toda paciencia y doctrina.	2 proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, giveencouragement -- but do all with patience and with care to instruct.
3 Porque vendrá un tiempo en que los hombres no soportarán la doctrina sana, sino que, arrastrados por su propias pasiones, se harán con un montón de maestros por el prurito de oír novedades;	3 The time is sure to come when people wil not accept sound teaching, but their ears wil be itching foranything new and they wil col ect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes;
4 apartarán sus oídos de la verdad y se volverán a las fábulas.	4 and then they will shut their ears to the truth and wil turn to myths.
5 Tú, en cambio, pórtate en todo con prudencia, soporta los sufrimientos, realiza la función de evangelizador, desempeña a la perfección tu ministerio.	5 But you must keep steady al the time; put up with suffering; do the work of preaching the gospel; fulfilthe service asked of you.
6 Porque yo estoy a punto de ser derramado en libación y el momento de mi partida es inminente.	6 As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart.
7 He competido en la noble competición, he llegado a la meta en la carrera, he conservado la fe.	7 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith;
8 Y desde ahora me aguarda la corona de la justicia que aquel Día me entregará el Señor, el justo Juez; y no solamente a mí, sino también a todos los que hayan esperado con amor su Manifestación.	8 al there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, wil give tome on that Day; and not only to me but to al those who have longed for his appearing.
9 Apresúrate a venir a mí cuanto antes,	9 Make every effort to come and see me as soon as you can.
10 porque me ha abandonado Demas por amor a este mundo y se ha marchado a Tesalónica; Crescente, a Galacia; Tito, a Dalmacia.	10 As it is, Demas has deserted me for love of this life and gone to Thessalonica, Crescens has gone toGalatia and Titus to Dalmatia;
11 El único que está conmigo es Lucas. Toma a Marcos y tráele contigo, pues me es muy útil para el ministerio.	11 only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you; I find him a useful helper in my work.
12 A Tíquico le he mandado a Efeso.	12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.
13 Cuando vengas, tráeme el abrigo que me dejé en Tróada, en casa de Carpo, y los libros, en especial los pergaminos.	13 When you come, bring the cloak I left with Carpus in Troas, and the scrol s, especially the parchmentones.
14 Alejandro, el herrero, me ha hecho mucho mal. El Señor le retribuirá según sus obras.	14 Alexander the coppersmith has done me a lot of harm; the Lord wil repay him as his deeds deserve.
15 Tú también guárdate de él, pues se ha opuesto tenazmente a nuestra predicación.	15 Be on your guard against him yourself, because he has been bitterly contesting everything that we say.
16 En mi primera defensa nadie me asistió, antes bien todos me desampararon. Que no se les tome en cuenta.	16 The first time I had to present my defence, no one came into court to support me. Every one of themdeserted me -- may they not be held accountable for it.
17 Pero el Señor me asistió y me dio fuerzas para que, por mi medio, se proclamara plenamente el mensaje y lo oyeran todos los gentiles. Y fui librado de la boca del león.	17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me power, so that through me the message might be ful yproclaimed for al the gentiles to hear; and so I was saved from the lion's mouth.
18 El Señor me librará de toda obra mala y me salvará guardándome para su Reino celestial. A él la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.	18 The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me, and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Tohim be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19 Saluda a Prisca y Aquila y a la familia de Onesíforo.	19 Greetings to Prisca and Aquila, and the family of Onesiphorus.
20 Erasto se quedó en Corinto; a Trófimo le dejé enfermo en Mileto.	20 Erastus stayed behind at Corinth, and I left Trophimus il at Miletus.
21 Date prisa en venir antes del invierno. Te saludan Eubulo, Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.	21 Make every effort to come before the winter. Greetings to you from Eubulus, Pudens, Linus, Claudiaand all the brothers.
22 El Señor sea con tu espíritu. La gracia sea con vosotros.	22 The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
