Ezequiel 29

1 El año décimo, el día doce del décimo mes, la palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:	1 On the twelfth day of the tenth month in the tenth year, the word of the LORD came to me:
2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Faraón, rey de Egipto, y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto.	2 Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.
3 Habla y di: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquí estoy contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, gran cocodrilo, recostado en medio de sus Nilos, tú que has dicho: «Mi Nilo es mío. yo mismo lo he hecho».	3 Say this to him: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, Great crouching monster amidst your Niles: Who say, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them!"
4 Voy a ponerte garfios en las quijadas, pegaré a tus escamas los peces de tus Nilos, te sacaré fuera de tus Nilos, con todos los peces de tus Nilos, pegados a tus escamas.	4 I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your Niles stick to your scales, then draw you up from the midst of your Niles along with all the fish of your Niles sticking to your scales.
5 Te arrojaré al desierto, a ti y a todos los peces de tus Nilos. En la haz del campo caerás, no serás recogido ni enterrado. A las bestias de la tierra y a las aves del cielo te entregaré como pasto,	5 I will cast you into the desert, you and all the fish of your Niles; You shall fall upon the open field, you shall not be taken up or buried; To the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air I give you as food,
6 y sabrán todos los habitantes de Egipto que yo soy Yahveh. Porque has sido un apoyo de caña para la casa de Israel;	6 That all who dwell in Egypt may know that I am the LORD. Because you have been a reed staff for the house of Israel:
7 cuando ellos te agarraban, te rompías en sus manos y desgarrabas toda su palma; cuando se apoyaban en tí, te hacías pedazos y hacías vacilar todos los riñones.	7 When they held you in hand, you splintered, throwing every shoulder out of joint; When they leaned on you, you broke, bringing each one of them down headlong;
8 Por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: He aquí que yo traigo contra ti la espada, para extirpar de ti hombres y bestias.	8 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I will bring the sword against you, and cut off from you both man and beast.
9 El país de Egipto se convertirá en desolación y ruina, y se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh. Por haber dicho: «El Nilo es mío, yo mismo lo he hecho»,	9 The land of Egypt shall become a desolate waste; thus they shall know that I am the LORD. Because you said, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them,"
10 por eso, aquí estoy yo contra ti y contra tus Nilos. Convertiré el país de Egipto en ruinas, devastación y desolación, desde Migdol hasta Siene y hasta la frontera de Etiopía.	10 therefore see! I am coming at you and against your Niles; I will make the land of Egypt a waste and a desolation from Migdol to Syene, and even to the frontier of Ethiopia.
11 No pasará por él pie de hombre, pie de animal no pasará por él. Quedará deshabitado durante cuarenta años.	11 No foot of man or beast shall pass through it; they shall not pass through it, and it will be uninhabited for forty years.
12 Yo haré del país de Egipto una desolación en medio de países desolados; sus ciudades serán una desolación entre ciudades en ruinas, durante cuarenta años. Dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los esparciré por los países.	12 I will make the land of Egypt the most desolate of lands, and its cities shall be the most deserted of cities for forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and strew them over foreign lands.
13 Porque así dice el Señor Yahveh: Al cabo de cuarenta años, reuniré a los habitantes de Egipto de entre los pueblos en los que habían sido dispersados.	13 Yet thus says the Lord GOD: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they are scattered,
14 Recogeré a los cautivos egipcios y los haré volver al país de Patrós, su país de origen. Allí formarán un reino modesto.	14 and I will restore Egypt's fortune, bringing them back to the land of Pathros, the land of their origin, where it will be the lowliest
15 Egipto será el más modesto de los reinos y no se alzará más sobre las naciones; le haré pequeño para que no vuelva a imponerse a las naciones.	15 of kingdoms, never more to set itself above the nations. I will make them few, that they may not dominate the nations.
16 No volverá a ser para la casa de Israel apoyo de su confianza, que provoque el delito de irse en pos de él. Y se sabrá que yo soy el Señor Yahveh.	16 No longer shall they be for the house of Israel to trust in, but the living reminder of its guilt for having turned to follow after them. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
17 El año veintisiete, el día uno del primer mes, la palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:	17 On the first day of the first month in the twenty-seventh year, the word of the LORD came to me:
18 Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, ha emprendido con su ejército grandes movimientos contra Tiro. Todas las cabezas han quedado peladas y todas las espaldas llagadas, pero no ha obtenido de Tiro, ni para sí ni para su ejército, ningún provecho de la empresa acometida contra ella.	18 Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has led his army in an exhausting campaign against Tyre. Their heads became bald and their shoulders were galled; but neither he nor his army received any wages from Tyre for the campaign he led against it.
19 Por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: He aquí que yo entrego a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, el país de Egipto. El saqueará sus riquezas, se apoderará de sus despojos y se llevará su botín, que será la paga de su ejército.	19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I am now giving the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. He shall carry off its riches, plundering and pillaging it for the wages of his soldiers, who did it for me;
20 En compensación de su esfuerzo contra Tiro, yo le entrego el país de Egipto, porque han trabajado para mí, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.	20 as payment for his toil I have given him the land of Egypt, says the Lord GOD.
21 Aquel día yo haré brotar un cuerno a la casa de Israel, y a ti te permitiré abrir la boca en medio de ellos. Y sabrán que yo soy Yahveh.	21 On that day I will make a horn sprout for the house of Israel, and I will cause you to speak out in their midst; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
