1 Corinthians 15

1 Now I would remind you, brethren, in what terms I preached to you the gospel, which you received, in which you stand,	1 Fratelli, facciovi manifesto l'evangelio, il quale io predicai a voi, il quale voi riceveste, e nel quale state,
2 by which you are saved, if you hold it fast--unless you believed in vain.	2 per il qual voi vi salvate, se il tenete con quella ragione la quale io vi predicai; e se questo non fate, vanamente avete creduto.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures,	3 Chè io dètti a voi quello che prima io ricevetti, cioè che Cristo fu morto per li peccati nostri, secondo le Scritture;
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures,	4 ch' egli è sepolto, e resuscitato il terzo giorno, secondo le Scritture:
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.	5 e ch' egli fu veduto da Pietro, e poi da tutti gli undici apostoli;
6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.	6 e poi fu veduto da più di cinquecento fratelli insieme; de' quali molti ne son vivi ancora, e alquanti ne dormirono;
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.	7 e veduto è da Iacobo, e poi anche da tutti gli apostoli;
8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.	8 ma dietro a tutti apparve a me, secondo che fanciullo morto nel corpo della madre.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.	9 Chè io son minore di tutti li apostoli; e non son degno d'essere chiamato apostolo, perchè io feci persecuzione alla Chiesa di Dio.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God which is with me.	10 Ma per la grazia di Dio io son quello che io sono, e la grazia non fu in me vôta; chè io ho maggiormente operato, che tutti li altri; ma non io solo, ma la grazia di Dio meco.
11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.	11 O sia io o siano egli, così predichiamo, e così credeste.
12 Now if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 (E così v'è predicato che Cristo è resuscitato da morte). Ma se Cristo è predicato, ch' elli resuscitò dagli morti, come adunque dicono alquanti intra voi, che non resusciteranno li morti?
13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised;	13 E se non è resurrezione di morti, Cristo non è resuscitato.
14 if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.	14 E se Cristo non è resuscitato, sì è vana la nostra predicazione, e vana la vostra fede.
15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.	15 E così siamo trovati falsi testimonii di Dio, che abbiamo detto falso testimonio contra Dio, quando noi dicemmo ch' egli avea resuscitato Cristo; il quale non resuscitò, se li morti non denno resuscitare.
16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised.	16 Chè certo, se li morti non denno resuscitare, nè Cristo non resuscitò.
17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.	17 E se Cristo non resuscitò, è vana la vostra fede, e ancora siete nelli peccati vostri.
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.	18 Che se così è come voi dite, tutti coloro che son morti in Cristo sì son periti, (e non hanno bene delle buone opere che feciono).
19 If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied.	19 E se noi solamente in questa vita speriamo in Cristo, noi siamo li più miseri di tutti li (altri) uomini.
20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.	20 Ma ora (io vi dico così: che) Cristo resuscitò da morte, il primo di quelli che dormono.
21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.	21 Chè certo, secondo che per uno uomo venne la morte, così la resurrezione de' morti è per uno uomo.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.	22 E secondo che in Adamo tutti morremo, così in Cristo tutti averanno a vivificare.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.	23 E ciascuno nel suo ordine; prima Cristo, e poi quelli che son di Cristo, li quali credettero nel suo avvenimento.
24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.	24 E poi sarà la fine, quando darà il regno a Dio padre, e quando tornerà a niente il principato tutto e la signoria e la virtù.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.	25 E conviene ch' egli regni, insino a tanto ch' egli metta sotto li suoi piedi l' inimici suoi.
26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.	26 Dretanamente sarà destrutta la morte nemica; chè Dio sottopose tutte le cose sotto li piedi di costui (cioè di Cristo). E quando dice,
27 "For God has put all things in subjection under his feet." But when it says, "All things are put in subjection under him," it is plain that he is excepted who put all things under him.	27 che tutte le sottopose a lui, senza dubbio è così, eccetto quello il qual ha soggetto a lui ogni cosa.
28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things under him, that God may be everything to every one.	28 E quando tutte le cose saranno sottoposte al Figliuolo, allora quel Figliuolo sarà soggetto a colui che tutte le cose gli sottopose, acciò che Dio sia tutto in tutte le cose.
29 Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf?	29 (In altra guisa e) se così non fosse, che faranno quelli che son battezzati per li morti, se al postutto li morti non risorgono? perchè si battezzano per coloro?
30 Why am I in peril every hour?	30 E noi perchè siamo tormentati ogni ora?
31 I protest, brethren, by my pride in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day!	31 Fratelli, cotidianamente io moro per la vostra gloria, la qual abbio in Cristo Iesù nostro Signore.
32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."	32 E se io, secondo che uomo, pugnai (e combattetti) colle bestie di Efeso, che giova a me, se li morti non denno resuscitare? Manduchiamo e beviamo, chè domani morremo.
33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals."	33 Or non siate ingannati; chè le malvagie parole corrompono li boni costumi.
34 Come to your right mind, and sin no more. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.	34 E vogliate essere giusti, e non vogliate peccare; chè alquanti non hanno il conoscimento di Dio; ma io parlo a voi con reverenza.
35 But some one will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?"	35 Ma forse dirà alcuno come resusciteranno li morti? e con che corpi verranno?
36 You foolish man! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.	36 Or tu, matto, non vedi che il seme, il quale tu semini, non si fa vivo, s'egli non muore in prima?
37 And what you sow is not the body which is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.	37 E non semini quel corpo in quella sostanza che dee venire poscia, ma semini uno nudo granello, secondo ch' è di grano, ovver d'altra biada.
38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.	38 E Dio dà a quello granello il corpo, secondo ch' egli vuole; a ciascuno seme il suo proprio corpo (secondo la sua qualità).
39 For not all flesh is alike, but there is one kind for men, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.	39 Non è ogni carne quella medesima carne; ma altra è quella delli uomini e altra di bestie, altra d' uccelli e altra di pesci.
40 There are celestial bodies and there are terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.	40 E son corpi celesti, e corpi terrestri; altra è la gloria de' celesti, e altra de' terrestri.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.	41 E altra è la chiarezza del sole, e altra è la chiarezza della luna, e altra la chiarezza delle stelle; e l' una stella si sguaglia dall' altra in chiarezza.
42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.	42 E così la resurrezione delli morti. Sèminasi in corruzione; resusciterà in non corruzione.
43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.	43 Ed è seminato in vergogna e sozzura; resusciterà in gloria (e in grandezza); ed è seminato in fragilezza, e resusciterà in fermezza.
44 It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.	44 Ed è seminato corpo bestiale, e resusciterà corpo spirituale S' egli è corpo bestiale (cioè di carne), sì è spirituale, secondo che è scritto:
45 Thus it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.	45 il primo uomo Adam sì fu fatto in anima vivente; il dretano Adam in spirito vivente.
46 But it is not the spiritual which is first but the physical, and then the spiritual.	46 Ma non è [prima] quello ch' è spirituale, ma quello ch' è bestiale; e poi quello ch' è spirituale.
47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.	47 Il primo uomo è di terra, terreno; il secondo è di cielo, celestiale.
48 As was the man of dust, so are those who are of the dust; and as is the man of heaven, so are those who are of heaven.	48 Quale è l' uomo terreno, tali son li terreni; e quale è il celestiale, tali son li celesti.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.	49 Adunque secondo che noi abbiamo portato la imagine dell' uomo terreno, così portiamo la imagine celestiale.
50 I tell you this, brethren: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.	50 E questo dico, fratelli, imperò che la carne e il sangue non possederanno il regno di Dio; il corrompimento non possederà la cosa non corrotta.
51 Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,	51 Ecco, questo misterio (e questa cosa nascosa) dico: certo noi risorgeremo, ma tutti non saremo remutati.
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.	52 In uno momento, e in uno battere d' occhio (risusciteremo) nella tromba nuovissima; la tromba sonarà, e li morti resusciteranno (puri e) incorrotti; e noi saremo mutati.
53 For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality.	53 Chè bisogno è, che questo corpo corruttibile si vesta di saldezza; e questo corpo mortale bisogna che si vesta di vita che non verrà meno.
54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."	54 E quando questo sarà, allora adempiuta è la parola ch' è scritta (la quale dice così): inghiottita è la morte nella vittoria.
55 "O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?"	55 Ove è la tua vittoria, o morte? e dove è il stimolo tuo?
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.	56 Il stimolo della morte è il peccato; e la virtù del peccato è la legge.
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 Grazia sia a Dio, il quale diede a noi vittoria per Iesù Cristo nostro Signore.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.	58 Adunque, fratelli miei dilettissimi, siate stabili e fermi, e abbondate nell' opera del Signore sempre, sapendo che la vostra fatica non è vana appo il Signore.
