1 Corinthians 15

1 Now I would remind you, brethren, in what terms I preached to you the gospel, which you received, in which you stand,	1 - Vi rammento poi, o fratelli, il Vangelo che vi ho annunziato e che voi avete accolto, e in cui rimanete saldi,
2 by which you are saved, if you hold it fast--unless you believed in vain.	2 per il quale anche siete salvati, se pur ritenete con che parola ve l'ho annunziato; salvo se senza alcuna base voi abbiate creduto.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures,	3 Fra le prime cose, io v'ho trasmesso quello che anch'io ho ricevuto, vale a dire che Cristo morì per i nostri peccati secondo le Scritture,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures,	4 e fu sepolto, e risuscitò il terzo giorno secondo le Scritture;
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.	5 e fu visto da Cefa e poi dai Dodici.
6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.	6 Dopo fu visto da più che cinquecento fratelli in una volta, de' quali i più son tuttora viventi, solo alcuni sono morti.
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.	7 Poi fu visto da Giacomo, poi da tutti gli apostoli,
8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.	8 in ultimo di tutti fu visto da questo aborto che son io;
9 For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.	9 giacchè io sono il minimo degli apostoli, chè non son degno d'esser chiamato apostolo, perchè ho perseguitato la Chiesa di Dio;
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God which is with me.	10 ma per grazia di Dio son quel che sono, e la grazia di lui verso di me non fu cosa vana; anzi ho faticato più di tutti loro, non già io, ma la grazia di Dio con me.
11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.	11 Sia dunque io, siano loro, così predichiamo e così avete creduto.
12 Now if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Or se si predica che Cristo è stato risuscitato dai morti, come mai alcuni fra voi dicono che non ha luogo la risurrezione de' morti?
13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised;	13 Se non ci fosse la risurrezione de' morti, neanche Cristo sarebbe risorto;
14 if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.	14 se Cristo non fosse risorto, vana sarebbe la nostra predicazione, e vana la vostra fede,
15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.	15 e noi saremmo come falsi testimoni di Dio: giacchè noi abbiamo attestato rispetto a Dio, ch'ei risuscitò il Cristo; non l'avrebbe risuscitato se non risuscitano i morti;
16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised.	16 poichè se i morti non risuscitano, neanche Cristo è risorto,
17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.	17 e se Cristo non è risorto, vana è la vostra fede, e voi siete ancora nei vostri peccati;
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.	18 e però anche quelli che son morti in Cristo sono periti.
19 If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied.	19 Se solo per questa vita noi abbiam riposto in Cristo le nostre speranze, noi siamo più miserabili di tutti gli uomini.
20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.	20 Ma invece Cristo risuscitò proprio da morte, primizia di quelli che giacciono morti.
21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.	21 Infatti poichè per via di un uomo è la morte, anche per via d'un uomo v'è la risurrezione dei morti.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.	22 Come in Adamo tutti muoiono, così in Cristo tutti saranno vivificati,
23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.	23 ciascuno al suo ordine; primizia è Cristo, poi quei di Cristo che nella venuta sua credettero;
24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.	24 poi sarà la fine, quando consegni il regno a Dio Padre, dopo aver annientato ogni signoria e ogni podestà e ogni potenza.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.	25 Poichè bisogna che Egli regni fino a che non abbia posto sotto i suoi piedi tutti i nemici.
26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.	26 Ultimo nemico sarà annientata la morte, giacchè tutto ha posto [Iddio] sotto i piedi di lui.
27 "For God has put all things in subjection under his feet." But when it says, "All things are put in subjection under him," it is plain that he is excepted who put all things under him.	27 Quando dice «tutte le cose sono state assoggettate», è chiaro che si deve eccettuare Colui che ha a lui assoggettato ogni cosa.
28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things under him, that God may be everything to every one.	28 E quando a lui tutte le cose siano soggette, allora anche il Figlio stesso sarà sottoposto a Colui che tutto gli ha assoggettato, affinchè Dio sia tutto in tutti.
29 Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf?	29 Se così non fosse, a che si riduce il battesimo, di quelli che si fanno battezzare per i morti? Se del tutto i morti non risorgono, a che si fan battezzare per loro?
30 Why am I in peril every hour?	30 e anche noi perchè ci esponiamo ogni momento a pericoli?
31 I protest, brethren, by my pride in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day!	31 In verità, lo affermo per la grande soddisfazione che ho di voi in Cristo Gesù nostro Signore, in ogni giorno sono esposto a morte.
32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."	32 Se ad Efeso ho lottato colle fiere per mire umane, che vantaggio ne ho avuto? se i morti non risorgono, «mangiamo e beviamo chè domani morremo».
33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals."	33 Non lasciatevi sviare; «le cattive compagnie corrompono i buoni costumi».
34 Come to your right mind, and sin no more. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.	34 Riscotetevi per bene e non peccate, poichè alcuni hanno ignoranza di Dio; ve lo dico a vostra vergogna. Modo della risurrezione e qualità dei corpi gloriosi
35 But some one will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?"	35 Ma dirà taluno: «Come risorgono i morti? e con che corpo vengono?».
36 You foolish man! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.	36 Stolto, quel che tu semini, non si vivifica se prima non muore;
37 And what you sow is not the body which is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.	37 e quando semini, non semini il corpo che deve venire, ma un nudo chicco, poni, di grano o di qualche altra cosa;
38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.	38 e Dio gli dà il corpo come ha voluto, e ciascun seme il proprio corpo.
39 For not all flesh is alike, but there is one kind for men, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.	39 Non ogni carne è la stessa carne, ma altra è la carne degli uomini, altra quella degli animali; altra la carne degli uccelli, altra quella de' pesci.
40 There are celestial bodies and there are terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.	40 E corpi celesti vi sono e corpi terrestri, ma altra è la splendidezza dei celesti, altra dei terrestri;
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.	41 altro è lo splendor del sole, altro quello della luna, altro quello degli astri, poichè un astro è differente da un altro per splendore.
42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.	42 Così è anche la risurrezione dei morti. Il corpo si semina corruttibilmente, risorge incorruttibile;
43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.	43 si semina ignobile, risorge in gloria; si semina debole, risorge in forza;
44 It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.	44 si semina corpo animale, risorge corpo spirituale. Se esiste il corpo animale vi è anche quello spirituale. Così anche sta scritto:
45 Thus it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.	45 " Il primo uomo Adamo fu fatto anima vivente "; l'ultimo Adamo è spirito vivificante.
46 But it is not the spiritual which is first but the physical, and then the spiritual.	46 Ma non è prima l'elemento spirituale, bensì l'animale, lo spirituale, vien dopo.
47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.	47 Il primo uomo, tratto dalla terra è terrestre, il secondo uomo è dal cielo e celeste.
48 As was the man of dust, so are those who are of the dust; and as is the man of heaven, so are those who are of heaven.	48 Qual è l'uomo terrestre, tali anche i terrestri; e quale il celeste tali anche i celesti.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.	49 E come abbiam portato l'immagine del terrestre, porteremo anche l'immagine del celeste.
50 I tell you this, brethren: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.	50 E questo dico, o fratelli, che la carne e il sangue non possono ereditare il regno di Dio, nè la corruzione può ereditare l'incorruttibilità.
51 Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,	51 Ecco, io vi rivelo un mistero: tutti risorgeremo, ma non per tutti avverrà cangiamento;
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.	52 in un attimo, in un batter d'occhio, al suon dell'ultima tromba; poichè sonerà e i morti risorgeranno incorruttibili; anche noi saremo cambiati.
53 For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality.	53 Poichè bisogna che questo corpo corruttibile rivesta l'incorruttibilità; e che questo mortale rivesta l'immortalità.
54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."	54 E quando questo mortale rivesta l'immortalità, allora si avvererà la parola che è scritta: " È stata assorbita la morte nella vittoria.
55 "O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?"	55 O morte, dov'è la tua vittoria? dov'è, o morte, il tuo pungiglione? ".
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.	56 Pungiglione della morte è il peccato, e quella che mostra l'essenza del peccato è la legge;
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 grazie sian rese a Dio che diè a noi la vittoria per mezzo del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.	58 Conseguentemente, o diletti fratelli, siate stabili, incrollabili, abbondando sempre nell'opera del Signore, sapendo che la fatica vostra non è vana nel Signore.
