Judges 10

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 After Abimelech, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, rose to deliver Israel. He belonged to Issachar andlived at Shamir in the mountain country of Ephraim.	1 وقام بعد ابيمالك لتخليص اسرائيل تولع بن فواة بن دودو رجل من يساكر. كان ساكنا في شامير في جبل افرايم.
2 He was judge in Israel for twenty-three years; he then died and was buried at Shamir.	2 فقضى لاسرائيل ثلاثا وعشرين سنة ومات ودفن في شامير.
3 After him rose Jair of Gilead, who judged Israel for twenty-two years.	3 ثم قام بعده يائير الجلعادي فقضى لاسرائيل اثنتين وعشرين سنة.
4 He had thirty sons who rode on thirty young donkeys and who owned thirty towns, stil known today asthe Encampments of Jair, in the territory of Gilead.	4 وكان له ثلاثون ولدا يركبون على ثلاثين جحشا ولهم ثلاثون مدينة. منهم يدعونها حووث يائير الى هذا اليوم. هي في ارض جلعاد.
5 Jair then died and was buried at Kamon.	5 ومات يائير ودفن في قامون
6 The Israelites again began doing what is evil in Yahweh's eyes. They served Baal and Astarte, and thegods of Aram and Sidon, the gods of Moab and those of the Ammonites and Philistines. They deserted Yahwehand served him no more.	6 وعاد بنو اسرائيل يعملون الشر في عيني الرب وعبدوا البعليم والعشتاروث وآلهة ارام وآلهة صيدون وآلهة موآب وآلهة بني عمون وآلهة الفلسطينيين وتركوا الرب ولم يعبدوه.
7 Yahweh's anger then grew hot against Israel and he gave them over into the power of the Philistinesand the power of the Ammonites,	7 فحمي غضب الرب على اسرائيل وباعهم بيد الفلسطينيين وبيد بني عمون.
8 who from that year onwards crushed and oppressed the Israelites for eighteen years -- all thoseIsraelites living on the other side of the Jordan in Amorite territory, in Gilead.	8 فحطّموا ورضّضوا بني اسرائيل في تلك السنة. ثماني عشرة سنة. جميع بني اسرائيل الذين في عبر الاردن في ارض الاموريين الذين في جلعاد.
9 Furthermore, the Ammonites would cross the Jordan and also make war on Judah, Benjamin and theHouse of Ephraim, so that Israel was in distress.	9 وعبر بنو عمون الاردن ليحاربوا ايضا يهوذا وبنيامين وبيت افرايم فتضايق اسرائيل جدا.
10 The Israelites then cried to Yahweh and said, 'We have sinned against you, because we have turnedfrom Yahweh our God to serve Baals.'	10 فصرخ بنو اسرائيل الى الرب قائلين اخطأنا اليك لاننا تركنا الهنا وعبدنا البعليم.
11 And Yahweh said to the Israelites, 'When Egyptians and Amorites, Ammonites and Philistines,	11 فقال الرب لبني اسرائيل أليس من المصريين والاموريين وبني عمون والفلسطينيين خلصتكم.
12 when the Sidonians, Amalek and Midian oppressed you and you cried to me, did I not rescue youfrom their power?	12 والصيدونيون والعمالقة والمعونيين قد ضايقوكم فصرختم اليّ فخلصتكم من ايديهم.
13 But it is you who have forsaken me and served other gods; and so I shall rescue you no more.	13 وانتم قد تركتموني وعبدتم آلهة اخرى. لذلك لا اعود اخلصكم.
14 Go and cry to the gods whom you have chosen. Let them rescue you in your time of trouble.'	14 امضوا واصرخوا الى الآلهة التي اخترتموها. لتخلصكم هي في زمان ضيقكم.
15 The Israelites replied to Yahweh, 'We have sinned. Treat us as you see fit, but please rescue ustoday.'	15 فقال بنو اسرائيل للرب اخطأنا فافعل بنا كل ما يحسن في عينيك. انما انقذنا هذا اليوم.
16 They got rid of their foreign gods and served Yahweh, who could bear Israel's suffering no longer.	16 وازالوا الآلهة الغريبة من وسطهم وعبدوا الرب فضاقت نفسه بسبب مشقة اسرائيل
17 The Ammonites gathered and pitched camp in Gilead. The Israelites ral ied and pitched camp atMizpah.	17 فاجتمع بنو عمون ونزلوا في جلعاد واجتمع بنو اسرائيل ونزلوا في المصفاة.
18 The people, the chieftains of Gilead, then said to one another, 'Who wil volunteer to attack theAmmonites? He shall be chief of al who live in Gilead!'	18 فقال الشعب رؤساء جلعاد الواحد لصاحبه ايّ هو الرجل الذي يبتدئ بمحاربة بني عمون فانه يكون راسا لجميع سكان جلعاد
