Judges 10

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 After Abimelech, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, rose to deliver Israel. He belonged to Issachar andlived at Shamir in the mountain country of Ephraim.	1 Después de Abimélek surgió para salvar a Israel Tolá, hijo de Puá, hijo de Dodó. Era de Isacar y habitaba en Samir, en la montaña de Efraím.
2 He was judge in Israel for twenty-three years; he then died and was buried at Shamir.	2 Fue juez de Israel veintitrés años; murió y fue sepultado en Samir.

5 Jair then died and was buried at Kamon.	5 Murió Yaír, y fue sepultado en Camón.
6 The Israelites again began doing what is evil in Yahweh's eyes. They served Baal and Astarte, and thegods of Aram and Sidon, the gods of Moab and those of the Ammonites and Philistines. They deserted Yahwehand served him no more.	6 Los israelitas volvieron a hacer lo que desagradaba a Yahveh. 9 Furthermore, the Ammonites would cross the Jordan and also make war on Judah, Benjamin and theHouse of Ephraim, so that Israel was in distress.	9 Los ammonitas pasaron el Jordán para atacar también a Judá, a Benjamín y a la casa de Efraím, e Israel pasó por grave aprieto.
10 The Israelites then cried to Yahweh and said, 'We have sinned against you, because we have turnedfrom Yahweh our God to serve Baals.'	10 Los israelitas clamaron a Yahveh diciendo: «Hemos pecado contra tí, porque hemos abandonado a Yahveh nuestro Dios para servir a los Baales».
11 And Yahweh said to the Israelites, 'When Egyptians and Amorites, Ammonites and Philistines,	11 Y Yahveh dijo a los israelitas: «Cuando los egipcios, los amorreos, los ammonitas, los filisteos,
12 when the Sidonians, Amalek and Midian oppressed you and you cried to me, did I not rescue youfrom their power?	12 los sidonios, Amalec y Madián os oprimían y clamasteis a mí ¿no os salvé de sus manos?
13 But it is you who have forsaken me and served other gods; and so I shall rescue you no more.	13 Pero vosotros me habéis abandonado y habéis servido a otros dioses. Por eso no he de salvaros otra vez.
14 Go and cry to the gods whom you have chosen. Let them rescue you in your time of trouble.'	14 Id y gritad a los dioses que habéis elegido: que os salven ellos en el tiempo de vuestra angustia».
15 The Israelites replied to Yahweh, 'We have sinned. Treat us as you see fit, but please rescue ustoday.'	15 Los israelitas respondieron a Yahveh: «Hemos pecado, haz con nosotros todo lo que te plazca; pero, por favor, sálvanos hoy».
16 They got rid of their foreign gods and served Yahweh, who could bear Israel's suffering no longer.	16 Y retiraron de en medio de ellos a los dioses extranjeros y sirvieron a Yahveh. Y Yahveh no pudo soportar el sufrimiento de Israel.
17 The Ammonites gathered and pitched camp in Gilead. The Israelites ral ied and pitched camp atMizpah.	17 Los ammonitas se concentraron y vinieron a acampar en Galaad. Los israelitas se reunieron y acamparon en Mispá.
18 The people, the chieftains of Gilead, then said to one another, 'Who wil volunteer to attack theAmmonites? He shall be chief of al who live in Gilead!'	18 Entonces el pueblo, los jefes de Galaad, se dijeron unos a otros: «¿Quién será el hombre que emprenda el ataque contra los hijos de Ammón? El estará al frente de todos los habitantes de Galaad».
