1 John 1

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Something which has existed since the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with ourown eyes, which we have watched and touched with our own hands, the Word of life -- this is our theme.	1 Lo que existía desde el principio, lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros ojos, lo que hemos contemplado y lo que hemos tocado con nuestras manos acerca de la Palabra de Vida, es lo que les anunciamos.
2 That life was made visible; we saw it and are giving our testimony, declaring to you the eternal life,which was present to the Father and has been revealed to us.	2 Porque la Vida se hizo visible, y nosotros la vimos y somos testigos, y les anunciamos la Vida eterna, que existía junto al Padre y que se nos ha manifestado.
3 We are declaring to you what we have seen and heard, so that you too may share our life. Our life isshared with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.	3 Lo que hemos visto y oído, se lo anunciamos también a ustedes, para que vivan en comunión con nosotros. Y nuestra comunión es con el Padre y con su Hijo Jesucristo.
4 We are writing this to you so that our joy may be complete.	4 Les escribimos esto para que nuestra alegría sea completa.
5 This is what we have heard from him and are declaring to you: God is light, and there is no darkness inhim at al .	5 La noticia que hemos oído de él y que nosotros les anunciamos, es esta: Dios es luz, y en él no hay tinieblas.
6 If we say that we share in God's life while we are living in darkness, we are lying, because we are notliving the truth.	6 Si decimos que estamos en comunión con él y caminamos en las tinieblas, mentimos y no procedemos conforme a la verdad.
7 But if we live in light, as he is in light, we have a share in another's life, and the blood of Jesus, his Son,cleanses us from all sin.	7 Pero si caminamos en la luz, como el mismo está en la luz, estamos en comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de su Hijo Jesús nos purifica de todo pecado.
8 If we say, 'We have no sin,' we are deceiving ourselves, and truth has no place in us;	8 Si decimos que no tenemos pecado, nos engañamos a nosotros mismos y la verdad no está en nosotros.
9 if we acknowledge our sins, he is trustworthy and upright, so that he will forgive our sins and wilcleanse us from all evil.	9 Si confesamos nuestros pecados, él es fiel y justo para perdonarnos y purificarnos de toda maldad.
10 If we say, 'We have never sinned,' we make him a liar, and his word has no place in us.	10 Si decimos que no hemos pecado, lo hacemos pasar por mentiroso, y su palabra no está en nosotros.
