1 John 1

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Something which has existed since the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with ourown eyes, which we have watched and touched with our own hands, the Word of life -- this is our theme.	1 Lo que existía desde el principio, lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros ojos, lo que contemplamos y tocaron nuestras manos acerca de la Palabra de vida,
2 That life was made visible; we saw it and are giving our testimony, declaring to you the eternal life,which was present to the Father and has been revealed to us.	2 - pues la Vida se manifestó, y nosotros la hemos visto y damos testimonio y os anunciamos la Vida eterna, que estaba vuelta hacia el Padre y que se nos manifestó -
3 We are declaring to you what we have seen and heard, so that you too may share our life. Our life isshared with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.	3 lo que hemos visto y oído, os lo anunciamos, para que también vosotros estéis en comunión con nosotros. Y nosotros estamos en comunión con el Padre y con su Hijo Jesucristo.
4 We are writing this to you so that our joy may be complete.	4 Os escribimos esto para que nuestro gozo sea completo.
5 This is what we have heard from him and are declaring to you: God is light, and there is no darkness inhim at al .	5 Y este es el mensaje que hemos oído de él y que os anunciamos: Dios es Luz, en él no hay tiniebla alguna.
6 If we say that we share in God's life while we are living in darkness, we are lying, because we are notliving the truth.	6 Si decimos que estamos en comunión con él, y caminamos en tinieblas, mentimos y no obramos la verdad.
7 But if we live in light, as he is in light, we have a share in another's life, and the blood of Jesus, his Son,cleanses us from all sin.	7 Pero si caminamos en la luz, como él mismo está en la luz, estamos en comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de su Hijo Jesús nos purifica de todo pecado.
8 If we say, 'We have no sin,' we are deceiving ourselves, and truth has no place in us;	8 Si decimos: «No tenemos pecado», nos engañamos y la verdad no está en nosotros.
9 if we acknowledge our sins, he is trustworthy and upright, so that he will forgive our sins and wilcleanse us from all evil.	9 Si reconocemos nuestros pecados, fiel y justo es él para perdonarnos los pecados y purificarnos de toda injusticia.
10 If we say, 'We have never sinned,' we make him a liar, and his word has no place in us.	10 Si decimos: «No hemos pecado», le hacemos mentiroso y su Palabra no está en nosotros.
