Hebrews 2

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 We ought, then, to turn our minds more attentively than before to what we have been taught, so that wedo not drift away.	1 Perciò bisogna rimanere attaccati con grande diligenza alle cose udite, per timore di non decadere.
2 If a message that was spoken through angels proved to be so reliable that every infringement anddisobedience brought its own proper punishment,	2 Se infatti la parola pronunciata mediante gli angeli fu garantita, e ogni trasgressione e disobbedienza ricevette una giusta retribuzione,
3 then we shal certainly not go unpunished if we neglect such a great salvation. It was first announced bythe Lord himself, and is guaranteed to us by those who heard him;	3 come sfuggiremo noi, se trascureremo così grande salvezza? La quale incominciò ad essere annunziata mediante il Signore e fu garantita a noi da quelli che l'ascoltarono,
4 God himself confirmed their witness with signs and marvels and miracles of al kinds, and bydistributing the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the various ways he wil s.	4 avendo Dio concorso alla loro testimonianza con la sua, mediante segni e prodigi e vari atti di potenza e con distribuzioni di Spirito Santo secondo la sua volontà.
5 It was not under angels that he put the world to come, about which we are speaking.	5 Infatti non agli angeli ha sottomesso il mondo futuro, del quale discorriamo.
6 Someone witnesses to this somewhere with the words: What are human beings that you spare athought for them, a child of Adam that you care for him?	6 Ma qualcuno ha dichiarato in qualche luogo: Che è l'uomo, perché tu ti ricordi di lui, o il figlio dell'uomo, perché tu lo visiti?
7 For a short while you have made him less than the angels; you have crowned him with glory andhonour,	7 Tu l'hai per poco abbassato al di sotto degli angeli, lo hai coronato di gloria e d'onore,
8 put al things under his feet. For in putting al things under him he made no exceptions. At present, it istrue, we are not able to see that all things are under him,	8 hai messo sotto i suoi piedi tutte le cose. Infatti nell'aver sottomesso tutto a lui, non ha lasciato nulla che non gli fosse soggetto. Nel tempo presente, però, non vediamo ancora tutte le cose a lui sottomesse.
9 but we do see Jesus, who was for a short while made less than the angels, now crowned with glory andhonour because he submitted to death; so that by God's grace his experience of death should benefit allhumanity.	9 Contempliamo invece Gesù, per poco abbassato al di sotto degli angeli, coronato di gloria e onore attraverso la passione della morte, affinché per la bontà di Dio gustasse la morte per ogni uomo.
10 It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should, in bringing many sons toglory, make perfect through suffering the leader of their salvation.	10 Infatti a colui, per il quale e per mezzo del quale sono tutte le cose, che conduce alla gloria dei numerosi figli, conveniva perfezionare, per mezzo della passione, il capo della loro salvezza.
11 For consecrator and consecrated are al of the same stock; that is why he is not ashamed to call thembrothers	11 Infatti colui che santifica e quelli che sono santificati sono tutti da uno; per la qual cosa non ha vergogna di chiamarli fratelli,
12 in the text: I shal proclaim your name to my brothers, praise you in full assembly; or in the text:	12 dicendo: Annunzierò il tuo nome ai miei fratelli, inneggerò a te in mezzo all'assemblea.
13 I shal put my hope in him; fol owed by Look, I and the children whom God has given me.	13 E di nuovo: Io confiderò in lui. E ancora: Ecco me e i figlioli che Dio mi ha dato.
14 Since al the children share the same human nature, he too shared equal y in it, so that by his deathhe could set aside him who held the power of death, namely the devil,	14 Poiché dunque i figlioli avevano in comune sangue e carne, anch'egli nella stessa maniera partecipò di quelle cose, per distruggere con la morte colui che ha il potere sulla morte, cioè il diavolo,
15 and set free al those who had been held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.	15 e per liberare quelli che erano asserviti per tutta la vita al timore della morte.
16 For it was not the angels that he took to himself; he took to himself the line of Abraham.	16 Infatti non si è congiunto con angeli, ma schiatta di Abramo prese.
17 It was essential that he should in this way be made completely like his brothers so that he couldbecome a compassionate and trustworthy high priest for their relationship to God, able to expiate the sins of thepeople.	17 Perciò dovette essere assimilato in tutto ai fratelli, per diventare pontefice misericordioso e fedele nelle cose che riguardano Dio, per espiare i peccati del popolo.
18 For the suffering he himself passed through while being put to the test enables him to help otherswhen they are being put to the test.	18 Infatti per quanto egli ha sofferto, essendo egli stesso stato provato, è capace di soccorrere quelli che sono tentati.
