Hebrews 2

1 We ought, then, to turn our minds more attentively than before to what we have been taught, so that wedo not drift away.	1 לכן אנחנו חיבים ביותר להכין לבבנו אל אשר שמענו פן ילוז ויאבד ממנו
2 If a message that was spoken through angels proved to be so reliable that every infringement anddisobedience brought its own proper punishment,	2 כי אם הדבר הנאמר על ידי המלאכים היה קים וכל פשע ומרי נשא את ענשו כמשפט
3 then we shal certainly not go unpunished if we neglect such a great salvation. It was first announced bythe Lord himself, and is guaranteed to us by those who heard him;	3 איך נמלט אנחנו אם לא נשים לב לתשועה גדולה אשר כזאת הנאמרה מתחלה בפי האדון ותקים לנו על ידי שמעיה
4 God himself confirmed their witness with signs and marvels and miracles of al kinds, and bydistributing the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the various ways he wil s.	4 וגם אלהים העיד עליה באתות ובמופתים ובגבורות שנות ובהאציל מרוח קדשו כרצונו
5 It was not under angels that he put the world to come, about which we are speaking.	5 כי לא תחת יד המלאכים שת את העולם הבא אשר אנחנו מדברים עליו
6 Someone witnesses to this somewhere with the words: What are human beings that you spare athought for them, a child of Adam that you care for him?	6 כי אם כאשר העיד האמר במקום אחד מה אנוש כי תזכרנו ובן אדם כי תפקדנו
7 For a short while you have made him less than the angels; you have crowned him with glory andhonour,	7 ותחסרהו מעט מאלהים וכבוד והדר תעטרהו ותמשילהו במעשי ידיך
8 put al things under his feet. For in putting al things under him he made no exceptions. At present, it istrue, we are not able to see that all things are under him,	8 כל שתה תחת רגליו הנה באשר שת כל תחתיו לא השאיר דבר שלא שת תחתיו ועתה זה לא ראינו עדין כי כל הושת תחתיו
9 but we do see Jesus, who was for a short while made less than the angels, now crowned with glory andhonour because he submitted to death; so that by God's grace his experience of death should benefit allhumanity.	9 אבל ישוע המחסר מעט ממלאכים אותו ראינו מעטר בכבוד והדר מפני ענותו עד מות למען אשר יטעם בחסד אלהים את המות בעד כלם
10 It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should, in bringing many sons toglory, make perfect through suffering the leader of their salvation.	10 כי נאה היה לו אשר הכל למענו והכל על ידו בהנחתו בנים רבים לכבוד להשלים בענוים את שר ישועתם
11 For consecrator and consecrated are al of the same stock; that is why he is not ashamed to call thembrothers	11 כי גם המקדש גם המקדשים כלם מאחד המה ועל כן לא בוש מקרא להם אחים
12 in the text: I shal proclaim your name to my brothers, praise you in full assembly; or in the text:	12 באמרו אספרה שמך לאחי בתוך קהל אהללך
13 I shal put my hope in him; fol owed by Look, I and the children whom God has given me.	13 ועוד וקויתי לו ועוד הנה אנכי והילדים אשר נתן לי יהוה
14 Since al the children share the same human nature, he too shared equal y in it, so that by his deathhe could set aside him who held the power of death, namely the devil,	14 ויען כי הילדים כלם יחדו בשר ודם אף הוא לבש בשר ודם כמוהם למען אשר יבטל על ידי המות את אשר לו ממשלת המות הוא השטן
15 and set free al those who had been held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.	15 ולהתיר את אלה אשר מאימת המות היו נתנים לעבדות כל ימי חייהם
16 For it was not the angels that he took to himself; he took to himself the line of Abraham.	16 כי אמנם לא במלאכים החזיק כי אם בזרע אברהם החזיק
17 It was essential that he should in this way be made completely like his brothers so that he couldbecome a compassionate and trustworthy high priest for their relationship to God, able to expiate the sins of thepeople.	17 על כן היה עליו להדמות לאחיו בכל דבר למען אשר יהיה כהן גדול רחמן ונאמן בעניני אלהים לכפר על חטאת העם
18 For the suffering he himself passed through while being put to the test enables him to help otherswhen they are being put to the test.	18 כי באשר הוא בעצמו ענה ונתנסה יכל לעזר את המנסים
