1 You may be quite sure that in the last days there will be some difficult times.	1 - Or sappi questo, che negli ultimi giorni verranno dei tempi difficili;
2 People wil be self-centred and avaricious, boastful, arrogant and rude; disobedient to their parents,ungrateful, irreligious;	2 perchè gli uomini saranno egoisti, avidi di danaro, vantatori, superbi, maldicenti, ribelli ai genitori, ingrati, irreligiosi, disamorati, sleali, calunniatori, intemperanti, crudeli,
3 heartless and intractable; they wil be slanderers, profligates, savages and enemies of everything that isgood;	3 senz'amor di bene,
4 they wil be treacherous and reckless and demented by pride, preferring their own pleasure to God.	4 traditori, temerari, gonfi di orgoglio, amanti del piacere, più che di Dio,
5 They wil keep up the outward appearance of religion but wil have rejected the inner power of it. Keepaway from people like that.	5 con parvenza di pietà, ma rinnegatori di quel che n'è l'essenza vera. Anche costoro fuggi;
6 Of the same kind, too, are those men who insinuate themselves into families in order to get influenceover sil y women who are obsessed with their sins and follow one craze after another,	6 perchè tra essi vi son quelli che s'insinuano nelle case, e accalappiano delle donnicciuole cariche di peccati, trascinate da svariate passioni,
7 always seeking learning, but unable ever to come to knowledge of the truth.	7 che imparan sempre e non posson mai giungere alla conoscenza della verità.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres defied Moses, so these men defy the truth, their minds corrupt and theirfaith spurious.	8 E in quel modo che Janne e Jambre si opposero a Mosè, così anche costoro resistono alla verità; gente corrotta di mente, di nessun valore per rispetto alla fede.
9 But they will not be able to go on much longer: their fol y, like that of the other two, must become obviousto everybody.	9 Ma non andranno molto avanti, poichè la loro stoltezza si farà manifesta a tutti, come fu anche il caso di quei due.
10 You, though, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my aims, my faith, my patience and my love,my perseverance	10 Ma tu hai seguito dappresso la mia dottrina, la mia condotta, i propositi, la fede, la longanimità, l'amore, la costanza,
11 and the persecutions and sufferings that came to me in places like Antioch, Iconium and Lystra -- althe persecutions I have endured; and the Lord has rescued me from every one of them.	11 le persecuzoni, i patimenti, quali mi sopravvennero in Antiochia, a Iconio, a Listri; sai quali persecuzioni io ho sopportato, e da tutte mi ha liberato il Signore.
12 But anybody who tries to live in devotion to Christ is certain to be persecuted;	12 E quanti vogliono vivere piamente in Cristo Gesù, saranno perseguitati.
13 while these wicked impostors wil go from bad to worse, deceiving others, and themselves deceived.	13 Ma i malvagi e gli impostori andranno di male in peggio, traviatori e traviati.
14 You must keep to what you have been taught and know to be true; remember who your teachers were,	14 Tu attienti a quello che hai imparato e di cui ti sei fatto persuaso, sapendo da chi hai imparato,
15 and how, ever since you were a child, you have known the holy scriptures -from these you can learnthe wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.	15 e che fin da fanciullo conoscevi le sacre Scritture, le quali hanno la virtù di darti la saggezza che ti porterà alla salvezza mediante la fede in Cristo Gesù.
16 Al scripture is inspired by God and useful for refuting error, for guiding people's lives and teachingthem to be upright.	16 Tutta la Scrittura è divinamente ispirata, e utile ad insegnare, a redarguire, a correggere, a educare alla giustizia
17 This is how someone who is dedicated to God becomes ful y equipped and ready for any good work.	17 affinchè l'uomo di Dio sia perfetto e reso adatto a qualsiasi opera buona.
