2 Timothy 3

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 You may be quite sure that in the last days there will be some difficult times.	1 OR sappi questo, che negli ultimi giorni sopraggiungeranno tempi difficili.
2 People wil be self-centred and avaricious, boastful, arrogant and rude; disobedient to their parents,ungrateful, irreligious;	2 Perciocchè gli uomini saranno amatori di loro stessi, avari, vanagloriosi, superbi, bestemmiatori, disubbidienti a padri e madri, ingrati, scellerati;
3 heartless and intractable; they wil be slanderers, profligates, savages and enemies of everything that isgood;	3 senza affezion naturale, mancatori di fede, calunniatori, incontinenti, spietati, senza amore inverso i buoni;
4 they wil be treacherous and reckless and demented by pride, preferring their own pleasure to God.	4 traditori, temerari, gonfi, amatori della voluttà anzi che di Dio;
5 They wil keep up the outward appearance of religion but wil have rejected the inner power of it. Keepaway from people like that.	5 avendo apparenza di pietà, ma avendo rinnegata la forza d’essa; anche tali schiva.
6 Of the same kind, too, are those men who insinuate themselves into families in order to get influenceover sil y women who are obsessed with their sins and follow one craze after another,	6 Perciocchè del numero di costoro son quelli che sottentrano nelle case, e cattivano donnicciuole cariche di peccati, agitate da varie cupidità;
7 always seeking learning, but unable ever to come to knowledge of the truth.	7 le quali sempre imparano, giammai non possono pervenire alla conoscenza della verità.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres defied Moses, so these men defy the truth, their minds corrupt and theirfaith spurious.	8 Ora, come Ianne e Iambre contrastarono a Mosè, così ancora costoro contrastano alla verità; uomini corrotti della mente, riprovati intorno alla fede.
9 But they will not be able to go on much longer: their fol y, like that of the other two, must become obviousto everybody.	9 Ma non procederanno più oltre; perciocchè la loro stoltizia sarà manifesta a tutti, siccome ancora fu quella di coloro
10 You, though, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my aims, my faith, my patience and my love,my perseverance	10 ORA, quant’è a te, tu hai ben compresa la mia dottrina, il mio procedere, le mie intenzioni, la mia fede, la mia pazienza, la mia carità, la mia sofferenza;
11 and the persecutions and sufferings that came to me in places like Antioch, Iconium and Lystra -- althe persecutions I have endured; and the Lord has rescued me from every one of them.	11 le mie persecuzioni, le mie afflizioni, quali mi sono avvenute in Antiochia, in Iconio, in Listri; tu sai quali persecuzioni io ho sostenute; e pure il Signore mi ha liberato, da tutte.
12 But anybody who tries to live in devotion to Christ is certain to be persecuted;	12 Ora, tutti quelli ancora, che voglion vivere piamente in Cristo Gesù, saranno perseguitati.
13 while these wicked impostors wil go from bad to worse, deceiving others, and themselves deceived.	13 Ma gli uomini malvagi ed ingannatori, procederanno in peggio, seducendo, ed essendo sedotti.
14 You must keep to what you have been taught and know to be true; remember who your teachers were,	14 Ma tu, persevera nelle cose che hai imparate, e delle quali sei stato accertato, sapendo da chi tu le hai imparate;
15 and how, ever since you were a child, you have known the holy scriptures -from these you can learnthe wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.	15 e che da fanciullo tu hai conoscenza delle sacre lettere, le quali ti possono render savio a salute, per la fede che è in Cristo Gesù.
16 Al scripture is inspired by God and useful for refuting error, for guiding people's lives and teachingthem to be upright.	16 Tutta la scrittura è divinamente inspirata, ed utile ad insegnare, ad arguire, a correggere, ad ammaestrare in giustizia;
17 This is how someone who is dedicated to God becomes ful y equipped and ready for any good work.	17 acciocchè l’uomo di Dio sia compiuto, appieno fornito per ogni buona opera
