NEW JERUSALEMKING JAMES BIBLE
It is because of this that I, Paul, a prisoner of the Lord Jesus on behalf of you gentiles. . .1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
You have surely heard the way in which God entrusted me with the grace he gave me for your sake;2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward:
he made known to me by a revelation the mystery I have just described briefly-3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
a reading of it wil enable you to perceive my understanding of the mystery of Christ.4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
This mystery, as it is now revealed in the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets, was unknown tohumanity in previous generations:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
that the gentiles now have the same inheritance and form the same Body and enjoy the same promisein Christ Jesus through the gospel.6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
I have been made the servant of that gospel by a gift of grace from God who gave it to me by theworkings of his power.7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
I, who am less than the least of all God's holy people, have been entrusted with this special grace, ofproclaiming to the gentiles the unfathomable treasure of Christ8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
and of throwing light on the inner workings of the mystery kept hidden through al the ages in God, theCreator of everything.9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
The purpose of this was, that now, through the Church, the principalities and ruling forces should learnhow many-sided God's wisdom is,10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
according to the plan which he had formed from al eternity in Christ Jesus our Lord.11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
In him we are bold enough to approach God in complete confidence, through our faith in him;12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
so, I beg you, do not let the hardships I go through on your account make you waver; they are yourglory.13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
This, then, is what I pray, kneeling before the Father,14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom every fatherhood, in heaven or on earth, takes its name.15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
In the abundance of his glory may he, through his Spirit, enable you to grow firm in power with regardto your inner self,16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love,17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
with al God's holy people you wil have the strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the heightand the depth;18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
so that, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond knowledge, you may be fil ed with the utterful ness of God.19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Glory be to him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine;20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
glory be to him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever.Amen.21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
