Ephesians 3

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 It is because of this that I, Paul, a prisoner of the Lord Jesus on behalf of you gentiles. . .	1 Por eso yo, Pablo, estoy preso por Cristo Jesús, a causa de ustedes, los de origen pagano.
2 You have surely heard the way in which God entrusted me with the grace he gave me for your sake;	2 Porque seguramente habrán oído hablar de la gracia de Dios, que me ha sido dispensada en beneficio de ustedes.
3 he made known to me by a revelation the mystery I have just described briefly-	3 Fue por medio de una revelación como se me dio a conocer este misterio, tal como acabo de exponérselo en pocas palabras.
4 a reading of it wil enable you to perceive my understanding of the mystery of Christ.	4 Al leerlas, se darán cuenta de la comprensión que tengo del misterio de Cristo,
5 This mystery, as it is now revealed in the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets, was unknown tohumanity in previous generations:	5 que no fue manifestado a las generaciones pasadas, pero que ahora ha sido revelado por medio del Espíritu a sus santos apóstoles y profetas.
6 that the gentiles now have the same inheritance and form the same Body and enjoy the same promisein Christ Jesus through the gospel.	6 Este misterio consiste en que también los paganos participan de una misma herencia, son miembros de un mismo Cuerpo y beneficiarios de la misma promesa en Cristo Jesús, por medio del Evangelio.
7 I have been made the servant of that gospel by a gift of grace from God who gave it to me by theworkings of his power.	7 De este Evangelio, yo fui constituido ministro por el don de la gracia que recibí de Dios, en virtud de la eficacia de su poder.
8 I, who am less than the least of all God's holy people, have been entrusted with this special grace, ofproclaiming to the gentiles the unfathomable treasure of Christ	8 Yo, el menor de todos los santos, he recibido la gracia de anunciar a los paganos la insondable riqueza de Cristo,
9 and of throwing light on the inner workings of the mystery kept hidden through al the ages in God, theCreator of everything.	9 y poner de manifiesto la dispensación del misterio que estaba oculto desde siempre en Dios, el creador de todas las cosas,
10 The purpose of this was, that now, through the Church, the principalities and ruling forces should learnhow many-sided God's wisdom is,	10 para que los Principados y las Potestades celestiales conozcan la infinita variedad de la sabiduría de Dios por medio de la Iglesia.
11 according to the plan which he had formed from al eternity in Christ Jesus our Lord.	11 Este es el designio que Dios concibió desde toda la eternidad en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor,
12 In him we are bold enough to approach God in complete confidence, through our faith in him;	12 por quien nos atrevemos a acercarnos a Dios con toda confianza, mediante la fe en él.
13 so, I beg you, do not let the hardships I go through on your account make you waver; they are yourglory.	13 Les pido, por lo tanto, que no se desanimen a causa de las tribulaciones que padezco por ustedes: ¡ellas son su gloria!
14 This, then, is what I pray, kneeling before the Father,	14 Por eso doblo mis rodillas delante del Padre,
15 from whom every fatherhood, in heaven or on earth, takes its name.	15 de quien procede toda paternidad en el cielo y en la tierra.
16 In the abundance of his glory may he, through his Spirit, enable you to grow firm in power with regardto your inner self,	16 Que él se digne fortificarlos por medio de su Espíritu, con forme a la riqueza de su gloria, para que crezca en ustedes el hombre interior.
17 so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love,	17 Que Cristo habite en sus corazones por la fe, y sean arraigados y edificados en el amor.
18 with al God's holy people you wil have the strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the heightand the depth;	18 Así podrán comprender, con todos los santos, cuál es la anchura y la longitud, la altura y la profundidad,
19 so that, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond knowledge, you may be fil ed with the utterful ness of God.	19 en una palabra, ustedes podrán conocer el amor de Cristo, que supera todo conocimiento, para ser colmados por la plenitud de Dios.
20 Glory be to him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine;	20 ¡A aquel que es capaz de hacer infinitamente más de lo que podemos pedir o pensar, por el poder que obra en nosotros,
21 glory be to him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever.Amen.	21 a él sea la gloria en la Iglesia y en Cristo Jesús, por todas las generaciones y para siempre! Amén.
