2 Corinthians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.	1 E poiché siamo suoi collaboratori, vi esortiamo a non accogliere invano la grazia di Dio.
2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.	2 Egli dice infatti: Al momento favorevole ti ho esaudito e nel giorno della salvezza ti ho aiutato. Ecco adesso il momento favorevole, ecco ora il giorno della salvezza!
3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;	3 Noi non diamo motivo di scandalo a nessuno, perché non venga biasimato il nostro ministero;
4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;	4 ma in ogni cosa ci presentiamo come ministri di Dio, con molta fortezza, nelle tribolazioni, nelle angustie, nelle ansie,
5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;	5 nelle percosse, nelle carceri, nelle sommosse, nelle fatiche, nelle veglie, nei digiuni;
6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;	6 con purezza, sapienza, longanimità, benevolenza, spirito di santità, amore sincero;
7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:	7 con parole di verità, con la potenza di Dio; con le armi della giustizia nella destra e nella sinistra;
8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;	8 nella gloria e nel disprezzo, nella cattiva fama e nella buona; ritenuti mendaci e invece veritieri;
9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;	9 come ignoti, eppure conosciuti; moribondi, eppure viviamo; castigati, ma non messi a morte;
10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.	10 afflitti, eppure sempre lieti; poveri, mentre arricchiamo molti; gente che non ha nulla, mentre possediamo tutto!
11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.	11 La nostra bocca vi ha parlato apertamente e il nostro cuore si è dilatato per voi, o Corinzi.
12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.	12 Non siete davvero allo stretto in noi; è nei vostri cuori che state allo stretto.
13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.	13 Rendeteci il contraccambio! Parlo come a figli, dilatate il cuore anche voi!
14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?	14 Non lasciatevi legare al giogo estraneo degli infedeli. Quale rapporto ci può essere tra la giustizia e l'empietà, o quale comunione tra la luce e le tenebre?
15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?	15 Quale armonia tra Cristo e Beliar, quale società tra un fedele e un infedele,
16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.	16 quale accordo tra il tempio di Dio e gli idoli? Perché noi siamo il tempio del Dio vivente, come egli ha detto: Abiterò e camminerò in mezzo a loro, e sarò il loro Dio ed essi il mio popolo.
17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.	17 Perciò uscite di mezzo a loro e mettetevi in disparte, dice il Signore, non toccate nulla d'impuro. E io vi accoglierò
18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.	18 e sarò per voi un padre, e voi sarete per me figli e figlie, dice il Signore onnipotente.
