2 Corinthians 6

1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.	1 - Or come cooperatori [di Cristo], noi esortiamo altresì a che voi non in vano riceviate la grazia di Dio.
2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.	2 Giacchè Egli dice: «Nel tempo favorevole t'ho esaudito e nel giorno della salvezza t'ho recato aiuto»; ecco ora il tempo assai favorevole, eccolo il giorno della salvezza.
3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;	3 A nessuno diamo noi ragion d'inciampo, a evitare che il ministero sia vituperato,
4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;	4 ma in ogni cosa raccomandiamo noi stessi quali ministri di Dio con grande costanza, in mezzo alle afflizioni, alle necessità, alle angustie,
5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;	5 sotto i colpi, nelle prigionie, nelle sommosse, tra le fatiche e le veglie e i digiuni;
6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;	6 vivendo in castità, con conoscenza, con longanimità, con dolcezza, nello Spirito Santo, in amore sincero,
7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:	7 con la parola della verità e la virtù di Dio; mediante le armi della giustizia, armi di offesa e difesa;
8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;	8 fra la gloria e l'ignominia, fra la calunnia e la lode; come seduttori eppur veritieri; come ignoti e pur ben conosciuti;
9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;	9 come moribondi ma ecco siam vivi; come castigati, eppur non siam messi a morte;
10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.	10 come addolorati eppur sempre lieti; come miserabili, ma facciam ricchi molti; come gente che non ha nulla, eppur possediamo ogni cosa.
11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.	11 La bocca nostra s'è aperta verso voi, o Corinti, e il nostro cuore s'è allargato;
12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.	12 non ci state allo stretto in noi, bensì siete allo stretto nelle vostre viscere;
13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.	13 ebbene lo dico come a figliuoli, in compenso allargatevi anche voi!
14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?	14 Non unitevi a un giogo sconveniente cogli infedeli; poichè che cosa ha a che fare la giustizia coll'iniquità? e che comunanza v'è tra la luce e le tenebre?
15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?	15 Che accordo tra Cristo e Belial? che rapporto tra il fedele e l'infedele?
16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.	16 Come mettere insieme il tempio di Dio e gli idoli? poichè noi siamo il tempio di Dio vivente; secondochè disse Iddio: «Io abiterò e camminerò in mezzo a loro; e sarò loro Dio ed essi saranno mio popolo»;
17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.	17 perciò «Uscite di mezzo ad essi, e separatevene» dice il Signore, e: «Non toccate cosa impura»,
18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.	18 e io v'accoglierò e sarò a voi come padre e voi a me come figli e figlie, dice il Signore Onnipotente.
