2 Corinthians 6

1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.	1 Poiché siamo suoi collaboratori, vi esortiamo a non accogliere invano la grazia di Dio.
2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.	2 Egli dice infatti: Al momento favorevole ti ho esaudito e nel giorno della salvezza ti ho soccorso. Ecco ora il momento favorevole, ecco ora il giorno della salvezza!
3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;	3 Da parte nostra non diamo motivo di scandalo a nessuno, perché non venga criticato il nostro ministero;
4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;	4 ma in ogni cosa ci presentiamo come ministri di Dio con molta fermezza: nelle tribolazioni, nelle necessità, nelle angosce,
5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;	5 nelle percosse, nelle prigioni, nei tumulti, nelle fatiche, nelle veglie, nei digiuni;
6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;	6 con purezza, con sapienza, con magnanimità, con benevolenza, con spirito di santità, con amore sincero,
7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:	7 con parola di verità, con potenza di Dio; con le armi della giustizia a destra e a sinistra;
8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;	8 nella gloria e nel disonore, nella cattiva e nella buona fama; come impostori, eppure siamo veritieri;
9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;	9 come sconosciuti, eppure notissimi; come moribondi, e invece viviamo; come puniti, ma non uccisi;
10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.	10 come afflitti, ma sempre lieti; come poveri, ma capaci di arricchire molti; come gente che non ha nulla e invece possediamo tutto!
11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.	11 La nostra bocca vi ha parlato francamente, Corinzi; il nostro cuore si è tutto aperto per voi.
12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.	12 In noi certo non siete allo stretto; è nei vostri cuori che siete allo stretto.
13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.	13 Io parlo come a figli: rendeteci il contraccambio, apritevi anche voi!
14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?	14 Non lasciatevi legare al giogo estraneo dei non credenti. Quale rapporto infatti può esservi fra giustizia e iniquità, o quale comunione fra luce e tenebre?
15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?	15 Quale intesa fra Cristo e Bèliar, o quale collaborazione fra credente e non credente?
16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.	16 Quale accordo fra tempio di Dio e idoli? Noi siamo infatti il tempio del Dio vivente, come Dio stesso ha detto: Abiterò in mezzo a loro e con loro camminerò e sarò il loro Dio, ed essi saranno il mio popolo.
17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.	17 Perciò uscite di mezzo a loro e separatevi, dice il Signore, non toccate nulla d’impuro. E io vi accoglierò
18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.	18 e sarò per voi un padre e voi sarete per me figli e figlie, dice il Signore onnipotente.
