2 Corinthians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.	1 Y porque somos sus colaboradores, los exhortamos a no recibir en vano la gracia de Dios.
2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.	2 Porque él nos dice en la Escritura: En el momento favorable te escuché, y en el día de la salvación te socorrí. Este es el tiempo favorable, este es el día de la salvación.
3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;	3 En cuanto a nosotros, no damos a nadie ninguna ocasión de escándalo, para que no se desprestigie nuestro ministerio.
4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;	4 Al contrario, siempre nos comportamos como corresponde a ministros de Dios, con una gran constancia: en las tribulaciones, en las adversidades, en las angustias,
5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;	5 al soportar los golpes, en la cárcel, en las revueltas, en las fatigas, en la falta de sueño, en el hambre.
6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;	6 Nosotros obramos con integridad, con inteligencia, con paciencia, con benignidad, con docilidad al Espíritu Santo, con un amor sincero,
7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:	7 con la palabra de verdad, con el poder de Dios; usando las armas ofensivas y defensivas de la justicia;
8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;	8 sea que nos encontremos en la gloria, o que estemos humillados; que gocemos de buena o de mala fama; que seamos considerados como impostores, cuando en realidad somos sinceros;
9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;	9 como desconocidos, cuando nos conocen muy bien; como moribundos, cuando estamos llenos de vida; como castigados, aunque estamos ilesos;
10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.	10 como tristes, aunque estamos siempre alegres; como pobres, aunque enriquecemos a muchos; como gente que no tiene nada, aunque lo poseemos todo.
11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.	11 Les hemos hablado, corintios, con toda franqueza y hemos abierto completamente nuestro corazón.
12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.	12 En él hay cabida para todos ustedes; en cambio, en el de ustedes no la hay para nosotros.
13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.	13 Yo deseo que me paguen con la misma moneda. Les hablo como a mis propios hijos: también ustedes abran su corazón.
14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?	14 No tengan relaciones indebidas con los que no creen. Porque, ¿qué tienen en común la justicia con la iniquidad, o la luz con las tinieblas?
15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?	15 ¿Qué entendimiento puede haber entre Cristo y Belial?, ¿o qué unión entre el creyente y el que no cree?
16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.	16 ¿Qué acuerdo entre el templo de Dios y los ídolos? Porque nosotros somos el templo del Dios viviente, como lo dijo el mismo Dios: Yo habitaré y caminaré en medio de ellos; seré su Dios y ellos serán mi Pueblo.
17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.	17 Por eso, salgan de en medio de esa gente y pónganse aparte, dice el Señor. No toquen nada impuro, y yo los recibiré.
18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.	18 Y seré para ustedes un Padre, y ustedes serán mis hijos y mis hijas, dice el Señor todopoderoso.
