2 Corinthians 6

1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.	1 Or come cooperatori noi ti esortiamo, che non riceviate in vano la grazia, di Dio.
2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.	2 Imperocché egli dice: ti esaudii nel tempo accettevole, e nel giorno di salute ti porsi soccorso. Ecco ora il tempo accettevole, ecco ora il giorno della salute:
3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;	3 Non dando noi ad alcuno occasione d'inciampo, affinchè vituperato non sia il nostro ministero:
4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;	4 Ma diportiamoci in tutte le cose, come ministri di Dio, con molta pazienza, nelle titolazioni, nelle necessità, nelle angustie,
5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;	5 Nelle battiture, nelle prigionie, nelle sedizioni, nelle fatiche, nelle vigilie, ne' digiuni,
6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;	6 Con la castità, con la scienza, con la mansuetudine, con la soavità, con lo Spirito santo, con la carità non simulata,
7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:	7 Con la parola di verità, con la virtù di Dio, con le armi della giustizia a destra, ed a sinistra;
8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;	8 Per mezzo della gloria, e della ignominia; per mezzo dell'infamia, e del buon nome: come seduttori, eppur veraci: come ignoti, ma pur conosciuti:
9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;	9 Come moribondi, ed ecco, che siamo vivi: come gastigati, ma non uccisi:
10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.	10 Quasi malinconici, e pur sempre allegri: quasi mendichi, ma che molti facciamo ricchi: quasi destituti di tutto, e possessori di ogni cosa.
11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.	11 La nostra bocca è aperta pur voi, o Corinti, il cuor nostro è dilatato.
12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.	12 Voi non siete allo stretto dentro di noi: ma siete in istrettezza nelle vostre viscere:
13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.	13 Ma per egual contraccambio (parlo come a' figliuoli) dilatatevi anche voi.
14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?	14 Non vogliate unirvi a uno stesso giogo con gl' infedeli. Imperocché qual consorzio della giustizia con la iniquità? O qual società della luce con le tenebre?
15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?	15 E qual concerto di Cristo con Belial? O che ha di comune il fedele con l'infedele?
16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.	16 E qual consuonanza ha il tempio di Dio co' simolacri? Imperocché voi siete tempio di Dio vivo, come dice Dio: abiterò in essi, e camminerò tra di loro, e sarò loro Dio, ed eglino saranno mio popolo.
17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.	17 Per la qual cosa uscite di mezzo ad essi, e separatevene (dice il Signore) e non toccate l'immondo:
18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.	18 Ed io vi accoglierò: e sarovvi padre, e voi mi sarete figli, e figlie, dice il Signore onnipotente.
