1 Corinthians 3

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 And so, brothers, I was not able to talk to you as spiritual people; I had to talk to you as people stilliving by your natural inclinations, stil infants in Christ;	1 Én azonban, testvérek, nem beszélhettem nektek mint lelkieknek, hanem mint testieknek, mint kisdedeknek Krisztusban.
2 I fed you with milk and not solid food, for you were not yet able to take it -- and even now, you are stilnot able to,	2 Tejet adtam nektek inni, nem szilárd eledelt, mert még nem bírtátok volna el. Sőt még most sem bírjátok el,
3 for you are still living by your natural inclinations. As long as there are jealousy and rivalry among you,that surely means that you are stil living by your natural inclinations and by merely human principles.	3 mert még testiek vagytok. Mert amikor köztetek féltékenység és viszály van, nem vagytok-e testiek, és nem viselkedtek-e emberi módon?
4 While there is one that says, 'I belong to Paul' and another that says, 'I belong to Apol os' are you notbeing only too human?	4 Amikor ugyanis azt mondja az egyik: »Én Pálé vagyok«, a másik pedig: »Én Apollóé«, vajon nem vagytok-e emberiek?
5 For what is Apollos and what is Paul? The servants through whom you came to believe, and each hasonly what the Lord has given him.	5 Vajon mi Apolló? Mi Pál? Szolgák, akik hitre vezettek titeket, mégpedig mindegyik úgy, ahogy az Úr megadta nekik.
6 I did the planting, Apol os did the watering, but God gave growth.	6 Én ültettem, Apolló öntözte, de a növekedést Isten adta.
7 In this, neither the planter nor the waterer counts for anything; only God, who gives growth.	7 Tehát sem az nem számít, aki ültet, sem az, aki öntöz, hanem csak Isten, aki a növekedést adja.
8 It is al one who does the planting and who does the watering, and each will have the proper pay for thework that he has done.	8 Aki ültet, és aki öntöz, mind egy; mindegyikük a saját jutalmát nyeri majd el munkája szerint.
9 After all, we do share in God's work; you are God's farm, God's building.	9 Mert Isten munkatársai vagyunk, ti pedig Isten szántóföldje, Isten épülete vagytok.
10 By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master-builder, andsomeone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building.	10 Isten nekem adott kegyelme szerint, mint bölcs építőmester, alapot vetettem; más pedig arra épít. De mindenki ügyeljen, hogyan épít rá.
11 For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely JesusChrist.	11 Mert a lerakott alapon kívül, amely Jézus Krisztus, más alapot senki sem rakhat.
12 On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw	12 Ha pedig valaki az alapra aranyat, ezüstöt, drágaköveket, fát, szénát, szalmát épít,
13 but each person's handiwork wil be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clearand the fire itself wil test the quality of each person's work.	13 mindegyiknek a munkája nyilvánvaló lesz; ugyanis az a nap megmutatja, mivel az tűzben fog megnyilvánulni, s a tűz majd kipróbálja, hogy kinek-kinek milyen a munkája.
14 The one whose work stands up to it wil be given his wages;	14 Az, akinek megmarad a munkája, amelyet ráépített, jutalmat nyer.
15 the one whose work is burnt down wil suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he wil besaved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.	15 Az, akinek munkája elég, kárt vall; ő maga ugyan megmenekül, de csak mintegy tűz által.
16 Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you?	16 Nem tudjátok, hogy Isten temploma vagytok, és Isten Lelke lakik bennetek?
17 If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God's temple isholy; and you are that temple.	17 Azt pedig, aki Isten templomát lerombolja, lerombolja az Isten. Mert Isten temploma szent, s ti vagytok az.
18 There is no room for self-delusion. Any one of you who thinks he is wise by worldly standards mustlearn to be a fool in order to be real y wise.	18 Senki se ámítsa önmagát. Aki közületek bölcsnek véli magát ezen a világon, legyen oktalanná, hogy bölcs lehessen.
19 For the wisdom of the world is folly to God. As scripture says: He traps the crafty in the snare of theirown cunning	19 Mert e világ bölcsessége oktalanság Isten előtt. Írva van ugyanis: »Megfogja a bölcseket ravaszságukban«.
20 and again: The Lord knows the plans of the wise and how insipid they are.	20 Továbbá: »Az Úr tudja a bölcsek gondolatairól, hogy hiábavalók«.
21 So there is to be no boasting about human beings: everything belongs to you,	21 Senki se dicsekedjék tehát emberekkel. Mert minden a tietek,
22 whether it is Paul, or Apol os, or Cephas, the world, life or death, the present or the future -- al belongto you;	22 akár Pál, akár Apolló, akár Kéfás, akár a világ, akár az élet, akár a halál, akár a jelenvalók, akár a jövendők: minden a tietek,
23 but you belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God.	23 ti pedig Krisztuséi vagytok, Krisztus pedig Istené.
