1 Corinthians 3

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 And so, brothers, I was not able to talk to you as spiritual people; I had to talk to you as people stilliving by your natural inclinations, stil infants in Christ;	1 Yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como a espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños en Cristo.
2 I fed you with milk and not solid food, for you were not yet able to take it -- and even now, you are stilnot able to,	2 Os di a beber leche y no alimento sólido, pues todavía no lo podíais soportar. Ni aun lo soportáis al presente;
3 for you are still living by your natural inclinations. As long as there are jealousy and rivalry among you,that surely means that you are stil living by your natural inclinations and by merely human principles.	3 pues todavía sois carnales. Porque, mientras haya entre vosotros envidia y discordia ¿no es verdad que sois carnales y vivís a lo humano?
4 While there is one that says, 'I belong to Paul' and another that says, 'I belong to Apol os' are you notbeing only too human?	4 Cuando dice uno «Yo soy de Pablo», y otro «Yo soy de Apolo», ¿no procedéis al modo humano?
5 For what is Apollos and what is Paul? The servants through whom you came to believe, and each hasonly what the Lord has given him.	5 ¿Qué es, pues Apolo? ¿Qué es Pablo?... ¡Servidores, por medio de los cuales habéis creído!, y cada uno según lo que el Señor le dio.
6 I did the planting, Apol os did the watering, but God gave growth.	6 Yo planté, Apolo regó; mas fue Dios quien dio el crecimiento.
7 In this, neither the planter nor the waterer counts for anything; only God, who gives growth.	7 De modo que ni el que planta es algo, ni el que riega, sino Dios que hace crecer.
8 It is al one who does the planting and who does the watering, and each will have the proper pay for thework that he has done.	8 Y el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa; si bien cada cual recibirá el salario según su propio trabajo,
9 After all, we do share in God's work; you are God's farm, God's building.	9 ya que somos colaboradores de Dios y vosotros, campo de Dios, edificación de Dios.
10 By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master-builder, andsomeone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building.	10 Conforme a la gracia de Dios que me fue dada, yo, como buen arquitecto, puse el cimiento, y otro construye encima. ¡Mire cada cual cómo construye!
11 For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely JesusChrist.	11 Pues nadie puede poner otro cimiento que el ya puesto, Jesucristo.
12 On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw	12 Y si uno construye sobre este cimiento con oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, paja,
13 but each person's handiwork wil be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clearand the fire itself wil test the quality of each person's work.	13 la obra de cada cual quedará al descubierto; la manifestará el Día, que ha de revelarse por el fuego. Y la calidad de la obra de cada cual, la probará el fuego.
14 The one whose work stands up to it wil be given his wages;	14 Aquél, cuya obra, construida sobre el cimiento, resista, recibirá la recompensa.
15 the one whose work is burnt down wil suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he wil besaved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.	15 Mas aquél, cuya obra quede abrasada, sufrirá el daño. El, no obstante, quedará a salvo, pero como quien pasa a través del fuego.
16 Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you?	16 ¿No sabéis que sois santuario de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros?
17 If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God's temple isholy; and you are that temple.	17 Si alguno destruye el santuario de Dios, Dios le destruirá a él; porque el santuario de Dios es sagrado, y vosotros sois ese santuario.
18 There is no room for self-delusion. Any one of you who thinks he is wise by worldly standards mustlearn to be a fool in order to be real y wise.	18 ¡Nadie se engañe! Si alguno entre vosotros se cree sabio según este mundo, hágase necio, para llegar a ser sabio;
19 For the wisdom of the world is folly to God. As scripture says: He traps the crafty in the snare of theirown cunning	19 pues la sabiduría de este mundo es necedad a los ojos de Dios. En efecto, dice la Escritura: El que prende a los sabios en su propia astucia.
20 and again: The Lord knows the plans of the wise and how insipid they are.	20 Y también: El Señor conoce cuán vanos son los pensamientos de los sabios.
21 So there is to be no boasting about human beings: everything belongs to you,	21 Así que, no se gloríe nadie en los hombres, pues todo es vuestro:
22 whether it is Paul, or Apol os, or Cephas, the world, life or death, the present or the future -- al belongto you;	22 ya sea Pablo, Apolo, Cefas, el mundo, la vida, la muerte, el presente, el futuro, todo es vuestro;
23 but you belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God.	23 y vosotros, de Cristo y Cristo de Dios.
