Romans 15

1 It is for us who are strong to bear with the susceptibilities of the weaker ones, and not pleaseourselves.	1 Or dobbiamo noi più forti sostenere la fiacchezza dei deboli, e non aver compiacenza di noi stessi.
2 Each of us must consider his neighbour's good, so that we support one another.	2 Ognun di voi si renda grato al prossimo suo nel bene per edificazione.
3 Christ did not indulge his own feelings, either; indeed, as scripture says: The insults of those whoinsult you fal on me.	3 Imperocché Cristo niun riguardo ebbe a se, ma come sta scritto: Gli improperj di coloro, che te oltraggiavano, cadder sopra di me.
4 And all these things which were written so long ago were written so that we, learning perseveranceand the encouragement which the scriptures give, should have hope.	4 Imperocché tutte le cose, che sono state scritte, per nostro ammaestramento furono scritte: affinchè mediante la pazienza, e la consolazione delle scritture abbiamo speranza.
5 Now the God of perseverance and encouragement give you al the same purpose, fol owing theexample of Christ Jesus,	5 Il Dio poi della pazienza, e della consolazione dia a voi di avere uno stesso animo gli uni per gli altri secondo Gesù Cristo:
6 so that you may together give glory to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one heart.	6 Onde d'uno stesso animo con una sola bocca glorifichiate Dio, Padre del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
7 Accept one another, then, for the sake of God's glory, as Christ accepted you.	7 Per la qual cosa accoglietevi gli uni gli altri, come anche Cristo accolse voi per gloria di Dio.
8 I tel you that Christ's work was to serve the circumcised, fulfil ing the truthfulness of God by carryingout the promises made to the fathers,	8 Imperocché io dico, che Gesù Cristo fu ministro di quelli della circoncisione per riguardo della veracità di Dio, affine di dar effetto alle promesse fatte ai padri.
9 and his work was also for the gentiles, so that they should give glory to God for his faithful love; as scripture says: For this I shall praise you among the nations and sing praise to your name.	9 Le genti poi elle rendano gloria a Dio per la misericordia come sta scritto: Per questo io ti confesserò tralle genti, o Signore, e laude canterò al nome tuo.
10 And in another place it says: Nations, rejoice, with his people,	10 E di nuovo dice: Rallegratevi, o nazioni col popolo di lui.
11 and in another place again: Praise the Lord, all nations, extol him, al peoples.	11 E di nuovo: Nazioni, lodate tutte il Signore: popoli tutti, magnificatelo.
12 And in Isaiah, it says: The root of Jesse wil appear, he who rises up to rule the nations, and in himthe nations wil put their hope.	12 E di nuovo Isaia dice: Avverrà, che nella radice di Jesse, e in colui, che sorgerà per governare le nazioni, in esso spereranno le genti.
13 May the God of hope fil you with all joy and peace in your faith, so that in the power of the HolySpirit you may be rich in hope.	13 E il Dio della speranza vi ricolmi di ogni gaudio, e di pace nel credere: onde di speranza abbondiate, e di virtù dello Spirito santo.
14 My brothers, I am quite sure that you, in particular, are ful of goodness, ful y instructed and capableof correcting each other.	14 Io son però persuaso riguardo a voi, fratelli miei, che anche da voi siete pieni di carità, ricolmi di ogni sapere; onde possiate ammonirvi gli uni gli altri.
15 But I have special confidence in writing on some points to you, to refresh your memories, because ofthe grace that was given to me by God.	15 Ma vi hoscritto un po' arditamente o fratelli, quasi per risvegliar la vostra memoria sul riflesso della grazia, che è stata a me data da Dio,
16 I was given grace to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles, dedicated to offer them the gospelof God, so that gentiles might become an acceptable offering, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.	16 Perché io sia ministro di Gesà Cristo presso le nazioni: facendola da sacerdote del Vangelo di Dio, affinchè l'obblazione delle genti diventi accetta, e santificata dallo Spirito santo.
17 So I can be proud, in Christ Jesus, of what I have done for God.	17 Ho adunque onde gloriarmi appresso Dio in Cristo Gesù.
18 Of course I can dare to speak only of the things which Christ has done through me to win theal egiance of the gentiles, using what I have said and done,	18 Imperocché non sosterrei di raccontar cosa, che non abbia operata Cristo per mezzo mio per ridurre alla ubbidienza le genti con la parola e co' fatti:
19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God. In this way, from Jerusalemand all round, even as far as Il yricum, I have ful y carried out the preaching of the gospel of Christ;	19 Con la virtù de' miracoli, e de' prodigj, con la virtù dello Spirito santo: talmente che da Gerusalemme, e da' paesi all'intorno sino all'Illirico tutto ho ripieno del Vangelo di Cristo.
20 and what is more, it has been my rule to preach the gospel only where the name of Christ has notalready been heard, for I do not build on another's foundations;	20 Studiatomi così di predicare questo Vangelo, non dove era stato nominato Cristo, per non fabbricare sopra gli altrui fondamenti: ma come sta scritto:
21 in accordance with scripture: Those who have never been told about him wil see him, and thosewho have never heard about him will understand.	21 Quelli, che non hanno sentita nuova di lui, lo vedranno: e que' che non l'hanno udito, lo intenderanno.
22 That is why I have been so often prevented from coming to see you;	22 Per il qual motivo pur molte volte mi fu impedito il venir da voi, e mi è impedito sino adesso.
23 now, however, as there is nothing more to keep me in these parts, I hope, after longing for manyyears past to visit you, to see you when I am on the way to Spain-	23 Ora poi non essendovi più luogo per me in questi paesi, e avendo da molti anni in qua desiderio di venir da voi,
24 and after enjoying at least something of your company, to be sent on my way with your support.	24 Quando mi incamminerò verso la Spagna, spero, che di passaggio vi vedrò, e da voi avrò compagania percolà, dopo essermi in parte saziato di voi.
25 But now I have undertaken to go to Jerusalem in the service of the holy people of God there,	25 Adesso poi andrò a Gerusalemme in servigio de' Santi.
26 since Macedonia and Achaia have chosen to make a generous contribution to the poor amongGod's holy people at Jerusalem.	26 Imperocché la Macedonia, e l'Achaja hanno stimato bene di fare qualche colletta pei poveri, che sono tra' Santi di Gerusalemme.
27 Yes, they chose to; not that they did not owe it to them. For if the gentiles have been given a sharein their spiritual possessions, then in return to give them help with material possessions is repaying a debt tothem.	27 Hanno, dico, stimato bene: e sono debitori ad essi. Imperocché se i Gentili sono stati fatti partecipi delle cose spirituali di essi: debbono ancora sovvenirli nelle temporali.
28 So when I have done this, and given this harvest into their possession, I shall visit you on the way toSpain.	28 Terminato adunque questo, e consegnato che avrò loro questo frutto, di costà partirò per la Spagna.
29 I am sure that, when I do come to you, I shal come with the fullest blessing of Christ.	29 Io poi so, che venendo da voi, verrò con la pienezza della benedizione del Vangelo di Cristo.
30 Meanwhile I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, that in yourprayers to God for me you exert yourselves to help me;	30 Vi scongiuro adunque, o fratelli, per il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, e per la carità dello Spirito santo, che mi aiutiate colle vostre orazioni per me dinanzi a Dio,
31 praying that I may escape the unbelievers in Judaea, and that the aid I am carrying to Jerusalem wilbe acceptable to God's holy people.	31 Affinchè io sia liberato dagli infedeli, che sono nella Giudea, e affinchè l'obblazione del mio ministero sia accetta in Gerusalemme ai Santi,
32 Then I shal come to you, if God wil s, for a happy time of relaxation in your company.	32 Affinchè con gaudio io venga a voi per volontà di Dio, e con voi mi riconforti.
33 The God of peace be with you al . Amen.	33 Il Dio della pace sia con tutti voi. Cosi sia.
