Romans 15

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 It is for us who are strong to bear with the susceptibilities of the weaker ones, and not pleaseourselves.	1 OR noi, che siam forti, dobbiam comportare le debolezze de’ deboli, e non compiacere a noi stessi.
2 Each of us must consider his neighbour's good, so that we support one another.	2 Ciascun di noi compiaccia al prossimo, nel bene, ad edificazione.
3 Christ did not indulge his own feelings, either; indeed, as scripture says: The insults of those whoinsult you fal on me.	3 Poichè Cristo ancora non ha compiaciuto a sè stesso, anzi ha fatto come è scritto: Gli oltraggi di coloro che ti oltraggiano son caduti sopra me.
4 And all these things which were written so long ago were written so that we, learning perseveranceand the encouragement which the scriptures give, should have hope.	4 Perciocchè tutte le cose, che furono già innanzi scritte, furono scritte per nostro ammaestramento; acciocchè, per la pazienza, e per la consolazione delle scritture, noi riteniamo la speranza
5 Now the God of perseverance and encouragement give you al the same purpose, fol owing theexample of Christ Jesus,	5 Or l’Iddio della pazienza, e della consolazione, vi dia d’avere un medesimo sentimento fra voi, secondo Cristo Gesù.
6 so that you may together give glory to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one heart.	6 Acciocchè, di pari consentimento, d’una stessa bocca, glorifichiate Iddio, che è Padre del nostro Signor Gesù Cristo
7 Accept one another, then, for the sake of God's glory, as Christ accepted you.	7 Perciò, accoglietevi gli uni gli altri, siccome ancora Cristo ci ha accolti nella gloria di Dio.
8 I tel you that Christ's work was to serve the circumcised, fulfil ing the truthfulness of God by carryingout the promises made to the fathers,	8 Or io dico, che Cristo è stato ministro della circoncisione, per dimostrar la verità di Dio, compiendo le promesse fatte a’ padri.
9 and his work was also for the gentiles, so that they should give glory to God for his faithful love; as scripture says: For this I shall praise you among the nations and sing praise to your name.	9 E perchè i Gentili glorifichino Iddio per la sua misericordia, siccome è scritto: Per questo io ti celebrerò fra le Genti, e salmeggerò al tuo nome.
10 And in another place it says: Nations, rejoice, with his people,	10 Ed altrove la scrittura dice: Rallegratevi, o Genti, col suo popolo.
11 and in another place again: Praise the Lord, all nations, extol him, al peoples.	11 Ed altrove: Tutte le Genti, lodate il Signore; e voi, popoli tutti, celebratelo.
12 And in Isaiah, it says: The root of Jesse wil appear, he who rises up to rule the nations, and in himthe nations wil put their hope.	12 Ed altrove Isaia dice: Vi sarà la radice di Iesse, e colui che sorgerà per regger le Genti; le nazioni spereranno in lui
13 May the God of hope fil you with all joy and peace in your faith, so that in the power of the HolySpirit you may be rich in hope.	13 Or l’Iddio della speranza vi riempia d’ogni allegrezza e pace, credendo; acciocchè abbondiate nella speranza, per la forza dello Spirito Santo
14 My brothers, I am quite sure that you, in particular, are ful of goodness, ful y instructed and capableof correcting each other.	14 ORA, fratelli miei, io stesso son persuaso di voi, che voi ancora siete pieni di bontà, ripieni d’ogni conoscenza, sufficienti eziandio ad ammonirvi gli uni gli altri.
15 But I have special confidence in writing on some points to you, to refresh your memories, because ofthe grace that was given to me by God.	15 Ma, fratelli, io vi ho scritto alquanto più arditamente, come per ricordo, per la grazia che mi è stata data da Dio,
16 I was given grace to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles, dedicated to offer them the gospelof God, so that gentiles might become an acceptable offering, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.	16 per esser ministro di Gesù Cristo presso i Gentili, adoperandomi nel sacro servigio dell’evangelo di Dio, acciocchè l’offerta de’ Gentili sia accettevole, santificata per lo Spirito Santo
17 So I can be proud, in Christ Jesus, of what I have done for God.	17 Io ho adunque di che gloriarmi in Cristo Gesù, nelle cose che appartengono al servigio di Dio.
18 Of course I can dare to speak only of the things which Christ has done through me to win theal egiance of the gentiles, using what I have said and done,	18 Perciocchè io non saprei dir cosa che Cristo non abbia operata per me, per l’ubbidienza de’ Gentili, per parola e per opera;
19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God. In this way, from Jerusalemand all round, even as far as Il yricum, I have ful y carried out the preaching of the gospel of Christ;	19 con potenza di segni e di prodigi; con la virtù dello Spirito di Dio; talchè, da Gerusalemme, e da’ luoghi d’intorno infino all’Illirico, io ho compiuto il servigio dell’evangelo di Cristo.
20 and what is more, it has been my rule to preach the gospel only where the name of Christ has notalready been heard, for I do not build on another's foundations;	20 Avendo ancora in certo modo l’ambizione di evangelizzare, non dove fosse già stata fatta menzion di Cristo; per non edificar sopra il fondamento altrui.
21 in accordance with scripture: Those who have never been told about him wil see him, and thosewho have never heard about him will understand.	21 Ma, come è scritto: Coloro a’ quali non è stato annunziato nulla di lui lo vedranno; e coloro che non ne hanno udito parlare l’intenderanno
22 That is why I have been so often prevented from coming to see you;	22 Per la qual cagione ancora sono spesse volte stato impedito di venire a voi.
23 now, however, as there is nothing more to keep me in these parts, I hope, after longing for manyyears past to visit you, to see you when I am on the way to Spain-	23 Ma ora, non avendo più luogo in queste contrade, ed avendo già da molti anni gran desiderio di venire a voi,
24 and after enjoying at least something of your company, to be sent on my way with your support.	24 quando andrò in Ispagna, verrò a voi; perciocchè io spero, passando, di vedervi, e d’esser da voi accompagnato fin là, dopo che prima mi sarò in parte saziato di voi.
25 But now I have undertaken to go to Jerusalem in the service of the holy people of God there,	25 Ora al presente io vo in Gerusalemme, per sovvenire a’ santi.
26 since Macedonia and Achaia have chosen to make a generous contribution to the poor amongGod's holy people at Jerusalem.	26 Perciocchè a que’ di Macedonia, e d’Acaia, è piaciuto di far qualche contribuzione per li poveri d’infra i santi, che sono in Gerusalemme.
27 Yes, they chose to; not that they did not owe it to them. For if the gentiles have been given a sharein their spiritual possessions, then in return to give them help with material possessions is repaying a debt tothem.	27 È, dico, lor piaciuto di farlo; ed anche son loro debitori, perciocchè, se i Gentili hanno partecipato ai lor beni spirituali, debbono altresì sovvenir loro ne’ carnali.
28 So when I have done this, and given this harvest into their possession, I shall visit you on the way toSpain.	28 Appresso adunque che io avrò compiuto questo, ed avrò lor consegnato questo frutto, io andrò in Ispagna, passando da voi.
29 I am sure that, when I do come to you, I shal come with the fullest blessing of Christ.	29 Or io so che, venendo a voi, verrò con pienezza di benedizione dell’evangelo di Cristo
30 Meanwhile I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, that in yourprayers to God for me you exert yourselves to help me;	30 Or io vi prego, fratelli, per lo Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, e per la carità dello Spirito, che combattiate meco presso Iddio per me, nelle vostre orazioni;
31 praying that I may escape the unbelievers in Judaea, and that the aid I am carrying to Jerusalem wilbe acceptable to God's holy people.	31 acciocchè io sia liberato da’ ribelli, che son nella Giudea; e che il mio ministerio, che è per Gerusalemme, sia accettevole a’ santi.
32 Then I shal come to you, if God wil s, for a happy time of relaxation in your company.	32 Acciocchè se piace a Dio, io venga con allegrezza a voi, e sia ricreato con voi.
33 The God of peace be with you al . Amen.	33 Or l’Iddio della pace sia con tutti voi. Amen
