1 It was very early on the first day of the week and stil dark, when Mary of Magdala came to the tomb.She saw that the stone had been moved away from the tomb	1 Mária Magdolna a hét első napján kora reggel, amikor még sötét volt, a sírhoz ment, és látta, hogy a kő el van mozdítva a sírbolttól.
2 and came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. 'They have takenthe Lord out of the tomb,' she said, 'and we don't know where they have put him.'	2 Elfutott tehát, elment Simon Péterhez és a másik tanítványhoz, akit Jézus szeretett, és azt mondta nekik: »Elvitték az Urat a sírból, és nem tudjuk, hová tették!«
3 So Peter set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb.	3 Erre Péter és a másik tanítvány elindultak, és a sírhoz mentek.
4 They ran together, but the other disciple, running faster than Peter, reached the tomb first;	4 Ketten együtt futottak, de a másik tanítvány gyorsabban futott, mint Péter, és elsőként ért a sírhoz.

8 Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and he believed.	8 Akkor bement a másik tanítvány is, aki először érkezett a sírhoz; látta és hitt.
9 Til this moment they had stil not understood the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.	9 Még nem értették ugyanis az Írást, hogy fel kell támadnia a halálból.
10 The disciples then went back home.	10 A tanítványok ezután ismét hazamentek.

13 They said, 'Woman, why are you weeping?' 'They have taken my Lord away,' she replied, 'and I don'tknow where they have put him.'	13 Azok megkérdezték tőle: »Asszony, miért sírsz?« Ő azt felelte nekik: »Elvitték az én Uramat, és nem tudom hová tették!«
14 As she said this she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, though she did not realise that itwas Jesus.	14 Ahogy ezt kimondta, hátrafordult, és látta Jézust, hogy ott áll, de nem tudta, hogy Jézus az.
15 Jesus said to her, 'Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?' Supposing him to be thegardener, she said, 'Sir, if you have taken him away, tel me where you have put him, and I will go and removehim.'	15 Jézus megkérdezte tőle: »Asszony, miért sírsz? Kit keresel?« Ő pedig, azt gondolva, hogy a kertész az, ezt felelte neki: »Uram, ha te vitted el őt, mondd meg nekem, hová tetted, és én elviszem!«
16 Jesus said, 'Mary!' She turned round then and said to him in Hebrew, 'Rabbuni!' -- which meansMaster.	16 Ekkor Jézus megszólította őt: »Mária!« Erre ő megfordult, és héberül így szólt: »Rabbóní!«, ami azt jelenti: Mester.
17 Jesus said to her, 'Do not cling to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to thebrothers, and tell them: I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'	17 Jézus így szólt hozzá: »Ne tarts fel engem, mert még nem mentem fel az Atyához, hanem menj el a testvéreimhez, és mondd meg nekik: Fölmegyek az én Atyámhoz és a ti Atyátokhoz, az én Istenemhez és a ti Istenetekhez.«
18 So Mary of Magdala told the disciples, 'I have seen the Lord,' and that he had said these things toher.	18 Mária Magdolna elment, és hírül vitte a tanítványoknak: »Láttam az Urat!«, és hogy ezeket mondta neki.
19 In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room wherethe disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, 'Peace be withyou,'	19 Mikor azon a napon, a hét első napján este lett, és a helyiség ajtaja, ahol a tanítványok összegyűltek, be volt zárva a zsidóktól való félelem miatt, eljött Jézus, megállt középen, és azt mondta nekik: »Békesség nektek!«
20 and, after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy atseeing the Lord,	20 Miután ezt mondta, megmutatta nekik a kezét és az oldalát. A tanítványok megörültek, amikor meglátták az Urat.
21 and he said to them again, 'Peace be with you. 'As the Father sent me, so am I sending you.'	21 Aztán újra szólt hozzájuk: »Békesség nektek! Amint engem küldött az Atya, úgy küldelek én is titeket.«
22 After saying this he breathed on them and said: Receive the Holy Spirit.	22 S miután ezt mondta, rájuk lehelt, és így szólt hozzájuk: »Vegyétek a Szentlelket!
23 If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone's sins, they are retained.	23 Akiknek megbocsátjátok bűneiket, bocsánatot nyernek; akiknek pedig megtartjátok, azok bűnei megmaradnak.«
24 Thomas, cal ed the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.	24 Tamás pedig, egy a tizenkettő közül, akit Ikernek hívnak, nem volt velük, amikor eljött Jézus.
25 So the other disciples said to him, 'We have seen the Lord,' but he answered, 'Unless I can see theholes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put myhand into his side, I refuse to believe.'	25 A többi tanítvány elmondta neki: »Láttuk az Urat!« Ő azonban így szólt: »Hacsak nem látom kezén a szegek nyomát, és ujjamat a szegek helyére nem teszem, és kezemet az oldalába nem helyezem, én nem hiszem!«
26 Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors wereclosed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. 'Peace be with you,' he said.	26 Nyolc nap múlva ismét együtt voltak a tanítványai, és Tamás is velük volt. Jézus eljött – bár az ajtó zárva volt –, megállt középen, és így szólt: »Békesség nektek!«
27 Then he spoke to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put itinto my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.'	27 Azután azt mondta Tamásnak: »Tedd ide ujjadat és nézd a kezeimet; nyújtsd ki kezedet és tedd az oldalamba, és ne légy hitetlen, hanem hívő!«
28 Thomas replied, 'My Lord and my God!'	28 Tamás azt felelte: »Én Uram és én Istenem!«
29 Jesus said to him: You believe because you can see me. Blessed are those who have not seen andyet believe.	29 Jézus erre azt mondta neki: »Mivel láttál engem, hittél. Boldogok, akik nem láttak, és mégis hittek.«
30 There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are notrecorded in this book.	30 Jézus még sok egyéb csodajelet is művelt tanítványai szeme láttára, amelyek nincsenek megírva ebben a könyvben.
31 These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and thatbelieving this you may have life through his name.	31 Ezeket pedig azért írták le, hogy higgyétek, hogy Jézus a Krisztus, az Isten Fia, és e hit által az ő nevében életetek legyen.
