1 It was very early on the first day of the week and stil dark, when Mary of Magdala came to the tomb.She saw that the stone had been moved away from the tomb	1 Le premier jour de la semaine, Marie de Magdala vient à la tombe très tôt le matin, quand il fait encore noir, et elle voit que la pierre a été retirée du tombeau.
2 and came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. 'They have takenthe Lord out of the tomb,' she said, 'and we don't know where they have put him.'	2 Alors elle part en courant et arrive chez Simon-Pierre et l’autre disciple que Jésus aimait. Et elle leur dit: "Le Seigneur a été enlevé de la tombe et nous ne savons pas où on l’a mis.”
3 So Peter set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb.	3 Pierre sort aussitôt avec l’autre disciple, et ils vont à la tombe.
4 They ran together, but the other disciple, running faster than Peter, reached the tomb first;	4 Ils courent tous les deux, et l’autre disciple, qui court plus vite, arrive avant Pierre à la tombe.
5 he bent down and saw the linen cloths lying on the ground, but did not go in.	5 Là il se penche et voit les linges tombés à plat, mais il n’entre pas.
6 Simon Peter, fol owing him, also came up, went into the tomb, saw the linen cloths lying on the ground	6 Pierre arrive alors derrière lui et pénètre dans la tombe; lui aussi voit les linges posés à plat.
7 and also the cloth that had been over his head; this was not with the linen cloths but rolled up in aplace by itself.	7 Le suaire qui enveloppait la tête n’est pas posé avec les linges, mais à part: il est roulé à un autre endroit.
8 Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and he believed.	8 Alors entre l’autre disciple, celui qui est arrivé le premier à la tombe; il voit et il croit.
9 Til this moment they had stil not understood the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.	9 C’est qu’ils n’avaient pas encore compris l’Écriture: ‘il fallait’ qu’il ressuscite d’entre les morts!
10 The disciples then went back home.	10 Après cela les disciples rentrent chez eux.
11 But Mary was standing outside near the tomb, weeping. Then, as she wept, she stooped to lookinside,	11 Marie était restée dehors, près de la tombe, et elle pleurait. Mais voici qu’au milieu de ses larmes elle se penche vers la tombe,
12 and saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head, the other atthe feet.	12 et elle voit deux anges en blanc assis là même où on avait mis le corps de Jésus, l’un à la tête et l’autre aux pieds.
13 They said, 'Woman, why are you weeping?' 'They have taken my Lord away,' she replied, 'and I don'tknow where they have put him.'	13 Ils lui disent: "Femme, pourquoi pleures-tu?” Elle leur répond: "C’est qu’on a enlevé mon Seigneur et je ne sais pas où on l’a mis.”
14 As she said this she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, though she did not realise that itwas Jesus.	14 Aussitôt qu’elle a dit cela, elle se retourne et voit derrière elle Jésus debout. Mais elle ne sait pas que c’est Jésus.
15 Jesus said to her, 'Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?' Supposing him to be thegardener, she said, 'Sir, if you have taken him away, tel me where you have put him, and I will go and removehim.'	15 Jésus lui dit: "Femme, pourquoi pleures-tu? Qui cherches-tu?” Elle croit que c’est le jardinier, et elle lui répond: "Seigneur, si c’est toi qui l’as enlevé, dis-moi où tu l’as déposé, que j’aille le prendre.”
16 Jesus said, 'Mary!' She turned round then and said to him in Hebrew, 'Rabbuni!' -- which meansMaster.	16 Jésus lui dit: "Marie!” Et elle se retourne et lui dit en hébreu: "Rabbouni! (c’est-à-dire: Maître!)”
17 Jesus said to her, 'Do not cling to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to thebrothers, and tell them: I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'	17 Jésus lui dit: "Ne me retiens pas! Je ne suis pas encore remonté vers le Père. Va donc vers mes frères et dis-leur: Je monte vers mon Père qui est votre Père, vers mon Dieu qui est votre Dieu.”
18 So Mary of Magdala told the disciples, 'I have seen the Lord,' and that he had said these things toher.	18 C’est ainsi que Marie de Magdala s’en va porter la nouvelle aux disciples: "J’ai vu le Seigneur, et voici ce qu’il m’a dit.”
19 In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room wherethe disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, 'Peace be withyou,'	19 Au soir de ce premier jour de la semaine, les portes étaient fermées par peur des Juifs là où les disciples étaient réunis. Jésus vint et se tint au milieu d’eux. Il leur dit: "Soyez en paix!”
20 and, after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy atseeing the Lord,	20 Ayant dit cela, il leur montra ses mains et son côté, et ce fut la joie pour les disciples qui voyaient le Seigneur.
21 and he said to them again, 'Peace be with you. 'As the Father sent me, so am I sending you.'	21 Et puis il leur dit de nouveau: "Soyez en paix! Comme le Père m’a envoyé, moi aussi je vous envoie.”
22 After saying this he breathed on them and said: Receive the Holy Spirit.	22 Ayant dit cela, Jésus souffla vers eux et leur dit: "Recevez l’Esprit Saint.
23 If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone's sins, they are retained.	23 Ceux à qui vous enlèverez les péchés, ils leur seront enlevés; quand vous les maintiendrez, ils seront maintenus.”
24 Thomas, cal ed the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.	24 L’un des Douze était Thomas, surnommé le Jumeau; il n’était pas avec eux pour cette venue de Jésus.
25 So the other disciples said to him, 'We have seen the Lord,' but he answered, 'Unless I can see theholes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put myhand into his side, I refuse to believe.'	25 Comme les autres lui disaient: "Nous avons vu le Seigneur”, il leur répondit: "Tant que je ne vois pas ses mains avec la marque des clous et que je ne mets pas le doigt dans la marque des clous; tant que je ne mets pas la main dans son côté, je ne crois pas.”
26 Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors wereclosed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. 'Peace be with you,' he said.	26 Et voilà que de nouveau, huit jours plus tard, les disciples étaient à l’intérieur et Thomas avec eux. Alors que les portes étaient fermées, Jésus vint et se tint au milieu. Il dit: "Soyez en paix.”
27 Then he spoke to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put itinto my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.'	27 Ensuite il dit à Thomas: "Mets ici ton doigt, regarde mes mains. Avance ta main et mets-la dans mon côté. Cesse de nier, et crois!”
28 Thomas replied, 'My Lord and my God!'	28 Pour toute réponse Thomas lui dit: "Tu es mon Seigneur et mon Dieu!”
29 Jesus said to him: You believe because you can see me. Blessed are those who have not seen andyet believe.	29 Et Jésus lui dit: "Tu m’as vu et tu crois. Heureux ceux qui n’ont pas vu et qui croient.”
30 There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are notrecorded in this book.	30 Jésus a fait devant ses disciples bien d’autres signes qui ne sont pas écrits dans ce livre.
31 These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and thatbelieving this you may have life through his name.	31 Ceux-ci ont été écrits pour que vous croyiez que Jésus est le Christ, le Fils de Dieu; et si vous croyez, vous aurez la vie par l’effet de son Nom.
