John 17

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 After saying this, Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said: Father, the hour has come: glorify yourSon so that your Son may glorify you;	1 Amikor Jézus mindezt elmondta, szemét az égre emelve így szólt: »Atyám, eljött az óra: dicsőítsd meg Fiadat, hogy a Fiú is megdicsőítsen téged,
2 so that, just as you have given him power over all humanity, he may give eternal life to al those youhave entrusted to him.	2 ahogy hatalommal ruháztad fel őt minden test fölött, hogy mindenkinek, akit neki adtál, örök életet adjon.
3 And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.	3 Az örök élet pedig az, hogy megismerjenek téged, az egyedül igaz Istent, és akit küldtél, Jézus Krisztust.
4 I have glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do.	4 Én megdicsőítettelek téged a földön: befejeztem a művet, amelyet rám bíztál, hogy elvégezzem.
5 Now, Father, glorify me with that glory I had with you before ever the world existed.	5 Most te dicsőíts meg engem, Atyám, önmagadnál, azzal a dicsőséggel, amely az enyém volt nálad, mielőtt a világ lett.
6 I have revealed your name to those whom you took from the world to give me. They were yours andyou gave them to me, and they have kept your word.	6 Megismertettem nevedet az emberekkel, akiket a világból nekem adtál. Ők a tieid voltak, és nekem adtad őket, s ők megtartották a te szavadat.
7 Now at last they have recognised that all you have given me comes from you	7 Most már megtudták, hogy minden, amit nekem adtál, tőled van,
8 for I have given them the teaching you gave to me, and they have indeed accepted it and know forcertain that I came from you, and have believed that it was you who sent me.	8 mert az igéket, amelyeket nekem adtál, átadtam nekik; ők elfogadták, és valóban felismerték, hogy tőled jöttem, és elhitték, hogy te küldtél engem.
9 It is for them that I pray. I am not praying for the world but for those you have given me, because theybelong to you.	9 Értük könyörgök. Nem a világért könyörgök, hanem azokért, akiket nekem adtál, mert ők a tieid.
10 All I have is yours and al you have is mine, and in them I am glorified.	10 Mindaz, ami az enyém, a tiéd, és ami a tiéd, az enyém, és én megdicsőültem bennük.
11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keepthose you have given me true to your name, so that they may be one like us.	11 Én már nem vagyok a világban, de ők a világban vannak, én pedig tehozzád megyek. 12 While I was with them, I kept those you had given me true to your name. I have watched over themand not one is lost except one who was destined to be lost, and this was to fulfil the scriptures.	12 Amíg velük voltam, megtartottam őket nevedben, akiket nekem adtál. 13 But now I am coming to you and I say these things in the world to share my joy with them to the full.	13 Most pedig hozzád megyek, és ezeket elmondom a világban, hogy az én örömöm teljes legyen bennük.
14 I passed your word on to them, and the world hated them, because they belong to the world no morethan I belong to the world.	14 Közöltem velük igédet, és a világ gyűlölte őket, mert nem a világból valók, ahogy én sem vagyok a világból.
15 I am not asking you to remove them from the world, but to protect them from the Evil One.	15 Nem azt kérem, hogy vedd el őket a világból, hanem hogy óvd meg őket a gonosztól.
16 They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.	16 Nem a világból valók, mint ahogy én sem vagyok a világból való.
17 Consecrate them in the truth; your word is truth.	17 Szenteld meg őket az igazságban. A te igéd igazság.
18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world,	18 Ahogyan engem a világba küldtél, úgy küldtem őket én is a világba.
19 and for their sake I consecrate myself so that they too may be consecrated in truth.	19 Értük szentelem magam, hogy ők is meg legyenek szentelve az igazságban.

21 May they al be one, just as, Father, you are in me and I am in you, so that they also may be in us, sothat the world may believe it was you who sent me.	21 hogy mindnyájan egy legyenek; ahogyan te, Atyám, bennem vagy, és én tebenned, úgy ők is egy legyenek mibennünk, és így elhiggye a világ, hogy te küldtél engem.
22 I have given them the glory you gave to me, that they may be one as we are one.	22 Azt a dicsőséget, amelyet nekem adtál, átadtam nekik, hogy egy legyenek, ahogyan mi egy vagyunk.
23 With me in them and you in me, may they be so perfected in unity that the world wil recognise that itwas you who sent me and that you have loved them as you have loved me.	23 Én őbennük, te énbennem, hogy tökéletesen egy legyenek. 24 Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may always see myglory which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.	24 Atyám, azt akarom, hogy ők is, akiket nekem adtál, ott legyenek velem, ahol én vagyok, hogy lássák dicsőségemet, amelyet nekem adtál, mert szerettél engem a világ teremtése előtt.
25 Father, Upright One, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these have known thatyou have sent me.	25 Én igaz Atyám! A világ nem ismert meg téged, de én ismertelek téged, és ők is megismerték, hogy te küldtél engem.
26 I have made your name known to them and wil continue to make it known, so that the love withwhich you loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.	26 Megismertettem velük a nevedet, és meg is fogom ismertetni, hogy a szeretet, amellyel engem szerettél, bennük legyen, és én őbennük.«
