Mark 9

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 And he said to them, 'In truth I tel you, there are some standing here who wil not taste death beforethey see the kingdom of God come with power.'	1 Ezután így folytatta: »Bizony, mondom nektek: vannak egyesek az itt állók közül, akik nem ízlelik meg a halált, amíg meg nem látják, hogy eljön az Isten országa hatalommal.«
2 Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain ontheir own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured:	2 Hat nap múlva Jézus maga mellé vette Pétert, Jakabot és Jánost, őket külön fölvitte egy magas hegyre, és színében elváltozott előttük.
3 his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them.	3 A ruhái fényesek lettek és ragyogó fehérek, mint a hó, ahogy semmiféle ruhafestő a földön nem tudná megfehéríteni.
4 Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus.	4 Egyszerre megjelent nekik Illés Mózessel; Jézussal beszélgettek.
5 Then Peter spoke to Jesus, 'Rabbi,' he said, 'it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make threeshelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.'	5 Ekkor megszólalt Péter, és azt mondta Jézusnak: »Mester, jó nekünk itt lennünk! 6 He did not know what to say; they were so frightened.	6 Nem is tudta, mit mond, mert teljesen meg voltak rettenve.
7 And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, 'This is my Son,the Beloved. Listen to him.'	7 Erre felhő szállt alá, beborította őket, és a felhőből szózat hallatszott: »Ez az én szeretett Fiam, őt hallgassátok« .
8 Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.	8 Mire körülnéztek, már senki mást nem láttak a közelükben, csak Jézust egymagát.
9 As they were coming down from the mountain he warned them to tel no one what they had seen, untilafter the Son of man had risen from the dead.	9 Amikor jöttek lefelé a hegyről, meghagyta nekik, hogy amiket láttak, senkinek el ne beszéljék mindaddig, amíg az Emberfia fel nem támad a halálból.
10 They observed the warning faithful y, though among themselves they discussed what 'rising from thedead' could mean.	10 Ők a dolgot magukban is tartották, de egymás között arról tanakodtak, hogy mit jelent az: ‘feltámad a halálból’.

14 As they were rejoining the disciples they saw a large crowd round them and some scribes arguing withthem.	14 Amikor visszaértek a tanítványokhoz, nagy tömeget láttak körülöttük, és írástudókat, akik vitatkoztak velük.
15 At once, when they saw him, the whole crowd were struck with amazement and ran to greet him.	15 Amint az egész néptömeg meglátta Jézust, egyszerre mindnyájan elcsodálkoztak, majd odasiettek hozzá és köszöntötték őt.
16 And he asked them, 'What are you arguing about with them?'	16 Jézus megkérdezte őket: »Miről vitatkoztok egymással?«
17 A man answered him from the crowd, 'Master, I have brought my son to you; there is a spirit ofdumbness in him,	17 A tömegből valaki ezt felelte: »Mester! Elhoztam hozzád a fiamat, akiben néma lélek van,
18 and when it takes hold of him it throws him to the ground, and he foams at the mouth and grinds histeeth and goes rigid. And I asked your disciples to drive it out and they were unable to.'	18 mindenütt megragadja őt, a földhöz vágja, ő pedig tajtékzik, a fogait csikorgatja és megmerevedik. Szóltam tanítványaidnak, hogy űzzék ki, de nem tudták.«
19 In reply he said to them, 'Faithless generation, how much longer must I be among you? How muchlonger must I put up with you? Bring him to me.'	19 Ő így szólt hozzájuk: »Ó, te hitetlen nemzedék! Meddig legyek még veletek? Meddig tűrjelek még titeket? Hozzátok őt ide!«
20 They brought the boy to him, and at once the spirit of dumbness threw the boy into convulsions, andhe fel to the ground and lay writhing there, foaming at the mouth.	20 Erre odavitték hozzá. Amint a gyermek meglátta őt, a lélek azonnal rángatni kezdte, és a földre esve tajtékozott és fetrengett.
21 Jesus asked the father, 'How long has this been happening to him?' 'From childhood,' he said,	21 Ő megkérdezte az apját: »Mennyi ideje, hogy ebbe a bajba esett?« Az ezt válaszolta: »Gyermekkora óta.
22 'and it has often thrown him into fire and into water, in order to destroy him.	22 Sokszor tűzbe és vízbe vetette őt, hogy elveszítse. De ha valamit tehetsz, légy segítségünkre, könyörülj rajtunk.«
23 But if you can do anything, have pity on us and help us.'	23 Jézus így szólt hozzá: »‘Ha valamit tehetsz’? Minden lehetséges annak, aki hisz!«
24 'If you can?' retorted Jesus. 'Everything is possible for one who has faith.' At once the father of the boycried out, 'I have faith. Help my lack of faith!'	24 A gyermek apja azonnal felkiáltott, és könnyeket hullatva azt mondta: »Hiszek! Segíts hitetlenségemen!«
25 And when Jesus saw that a crowd was gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit. 'Deaf and dumbspirit,' he said, 'I command you: come out of him and never enter him again.'	25 Amikor Jézus látta, hogy a tömeg összefut, megfenyegette a tisztátalan lelket, és azt mondta neki: »Te süket és néma lélek! Parancsolom neked, menj ki belőle, és többé bele ne menj!«
26 Then it threw the boy into violent convulsions and came out shouting, and the boy lay there so like acorpse that most of them said, 'He is dead.'	26 Erre az elkezdett kiáltozni, és össze-vissza rángatva őt, kiment belőle. A gyermek pedig olyan lett, mint a halott, mire sokan azt mondták, hogy meghalt.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him up, and he was able to stand.	27 Jézus pedig kézenfogva fölemelte őt; az pedig fölkelt.
28 When he had gone indoors, his disciples asked him when they were by themselves, 'Why were weunable to drive it out?'	28 Mikor aztán bement a házba, külön megkérdezték őt a tanítványai: »Mi miért nem tudtuk kiűzni?«
29 He answered, 'This is the kind that can be driven out only by prayer.'	29 Azt felelte nekik: »Ez a fajzat nem megy ki másképpen, mint imádság által.«
30 After leaving that place they made their way through Galilee; and he did not want anyone to know,	30 Ezután eltávoztak onnan és átmentek Galileán; ő azonban nem akarta, hogy valaki megtudja ezt.
31 because he was instructing his disciples; he was telling them, 'The Son of man wil be delivered intothe power of men; they will put him to death; and three days after he has been put to death he will rise again.'	31 Oktatta ugyanis tanítványait, és elmondta nekik, hogy az Emberfiát az emberek kezébe adják, megölik őt, de miután megölték, harmadnapra feltámad.

35 So he sat down, called the Twelve to him and said, 'If anyone wants to be first, he must make himselflast of all and servant of all.'	35 Ekkor leült, odahívta a tizenkettőt, és azt mondta nekik: »Ha valaki első akar lenni, legyen mindenki közül az utolsó, és mindegyiknek a szolgája.«
36 He then took a little child whom he set among them and embraced, and he said to them,	36 Majd odahívott egy gyermeket, közéjük állította, magához ölelte, és azt mondta nekik:
37 'Anyone who welcomes a little child such as this in my name, welcomes me; and anyone whowelcomes me, welcomes not me but the one who sent me.'	37 »Aki egy ilyen gyermeket befogad az én nevemben, engem fogad be; és aki engem befogad, nem engem fogad be, hanem azt, aki engem küldött.«
38 John said to him, 'Master, we saw someone who is not one of us driving out devils in your name, andbecause he was not one of us we tried to stop him.'	38 Ekkor János azt mondta neki: »Mester! Láttunk valakit, aki a te nevedben ördögöt űz, de nem követ minket. Megtiltottuk neki.«
39 But Jesus said, 'You must not stop him; no one who works a miracle in my name could soonafterwards speak evil of me.	39 Jézus azt felelte: »Ne tiltsátok meg neki! Mert senki, aki az én nevemben csodát tesz, nem fog engem egyhamar szidalmazni.
40 Anyone who is not against us is for us.	40 Hiszen aki nincs ellenünk, velünk van.
41 'If anyone gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, then in truth I tel you, he wilmost certainly not lose his reward.	41 Mert aki csak egy pohár vizet ad is nektek inni az én nevemben, azért, mert Krisztuséi vagytok, bizony, mondom nektek: nem veszíti el jutalmát.
42 'But anyone who is the downfal of one of these little ones who have faith, would be better thrown intothe sea with a great mil stone hung round his neck.	42 Aki pedig megbotránkoztat egyet e kicsik közül, akik hisznek bennem: jobb volna annak, ha malomkövet kötnének a nyakára és a tengerbe vetnék.
43 And if your hand should be your downfal , cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life crippled, than tohave two hands and go to hel , into the fire thatnever be put out.	43 Ha a kezed megbotránkoztat téged, vágd le azt: jobb neked csonkán az életre bemenned, mint két kezeddel együtt a gyehennába jutnod, az olthatatlan tűzre.
44
45 And if your foot should be your downfal , cut it off; it is better for you enter into life lame, than to havetwo feet and be thrown into hell.	45 Ha a lábad megbotránkoztat téged, vágd le azt; jobb neked sántán az örök életre bemenned, mint ha két lábaddal együtt a gyehennára vetnek.
46
47 And if your eye should be your downfal , tear it out; it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of Godwith one eye, than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell	47 Ha a szemed megbotránkoztat téged, vájd ki azt; jobb neked fél szemmel az Isten országába bemenned, mintha két szemmel a gyehennára vetnek,
48 where their worm will never die nor their fire be put out.	48 ahol a férgük el nem pusztul, és a tüzük ki nem alszik .
49 For everyone wil be salted with fire.	49 Mindenkit tűzzel fognak megsózni.
50 Salt is a good thing, but if salt has become insipid, how can you make it salty again? Have salt inyourselves and be at peace with one another.'	50 Jó a só; de ha a só ízetlenné válik, mivel adtok ízt neki? Legyen só bennetek, és legyen békesség köztetek.«
