1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have arrived in the country where you are to live andwhich I am giving to you,	2 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando entrerete nella terra della vostra dimora che io voglio darvi
3 and you burn food as an offering to Yahweh either as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice, whether inpayment of a vow, or as a voluntary gift, or on the occasion of one of your solemn feasts, from your herds andflocks as a smel pleasing to Yahweh:	3 e farete un sacrificio di fuoco al Signore, olocausto o sacrificio, per compiere un voto, o spontaneamente o nelle vostre feste, per fare odore gradevole al Signore, del grosso o piccolo bestiame,
4 the offerer wil , as his personal gift to Yahweh, bring a cereal offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fineflour mixed with one-quarter of a hin of oil.	4 chi presenterà, offrirà come suo dono al Signore un'offerta di un decimo di fior di farina intrisa in un quarto di hin di olio,

11 This wil be done for every bul , every ram, every lamb or kid.	11 Così si farà per un toro o per un montone o per un capo di pecora o capra.
12 Whatever the number of victims you intend to offer, you wil do the same for each of them, howevermany there are.	12 Secondo il numero degli animali che offrirete, così farete per ciascun sacrificio.
13 "Every citizen of the country wil act in this way whenever he offers food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh;	13 Ogni indigeno farà così quelle cose, quando offrirà un sacrificio di fuoco in profumo gradevole al Signore.
14 and if an alien residing with you or with your descendants intends to offer food burnt as a smelpleasing to Yahweh, he wil do as you do.	14 Se uno straniero abiterà con voi o chi sarà in mezzo a voi per generazioni farà un sacrificio di fuoco in profumo gradevole al Signore, farà come farete voi.
15 There wil be one law for you, members of the community, and the resident alien alike, a law bindingyour descendants for ever: before Yahweh you and the resident alien are no different.'	15 L'assemblea avrà una prescrizione unica per voi e per lo straniero che vi dimora, una prescrizione perenne per le vostre generazioni: come voi, così sarà lo straniero davanti al Signore.

17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	17 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
18 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have entered the country to which I am bringing you,	18 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando entrerete nella terra dove io vi conduco,
19 you wil set a portion aside for Yahweh when you eat that country's bread.	19 e mangerete il pane della terra, farete un'offerta al Signore.
20 You wil set one cake aside as the first-fruits of your dough; you will set this offering aside like theone set aside from your threshing.	20 Come primizia della vostra pasta, eleverete secondo il rito una focaccia: la eleverete come si fa per l'elevazione dell'offerta dell'aia.
21 For al future generations you will set a portion of your dough aside for Yahweh.	21 Darete le primizie della vostra pasta al Signore, in offerta per le vostre generazioni.
22 "If through inadvertence you fail in any of these orders which Yahweh has given to Moses	22 Se inavvertitamente non compirete tutti quei precetti che il Signore ha detto a Mosè,

25 The priest wil perform the rite of expiation for the entire community of Israelites, and they wil beforgiven, since it was an inadvertence. Once they have brought their offering as food burnt for Yahweh, and havepresented their sacrifice for sin before Yahweh to make amends for their inadvertence,	25 Il sacerdote espierà per tutta la comunità dei figli d'Israele, e sarà loro perdonato, perché era per inavvertenza, ed essi hanno portato come loro offerta un sacrificio di fuoco al Signore e il loro sacrificio per il peccato davanti al Signore per il loro errore.

28 The priest wil perform the rite of expiation before Yahweh for the person who has gone astray owingto this sin of inadvertence and, expiation having been made for him, he will be forgiven;	28 Il sacerdote espierà per l'individuo in errore, per il peccato d'inavvertenza davanti al Signore, in modo che si espii per lui e gli sia perdonato.
29 whether he is an Israelite citizen or a resident alien, you wil have one law for anyone who sins byinadvertence.	29 Avrete una legge unica per chi agisce inavvertitamente, indigeno tra i figli d'Israele e straniero che dimora in mezzo a loro.
30 "But the individual who acts deliberately, be he citizen or alien, commits an outrage against Yahweh,and such a man wil be outlawed from his people.	30 L'individuo che agisce con mano alzata, sia indigeno che straniero, oltraggia il Signore: quell'individuo sarà eliminato dal suo popolo,
31 Since he has treated Yahweh's word with contempt and has disobeyed his order, such a man wil beoutlawed absolutely and wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '	31 perché ha disprezzato la parola del Signore e infranto il suo precetto. Quell'individuo sia eliminato: la sua colpa è in lui".
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was caught gathering wood on the Sabbath day.	32 Mentre i figli d'Israele erano nel deserto, trovarono un uomo che raccoglieva legna in giorno di sabato.
33 Those who caught him gathering wood brought him before Moses, Aaron and the whole community.	33 Quelli che lo trovarono a raccogliere legna lo presentarono a Mosè, ad Aronne e a tutta la comunità:
34 He was kept in custody, because the penalty he should undergo had not yet been fixed.	34 lo misero sotto sorveglianza, perché non era stabilito che cosa fargli.
35 Yahweh said to Moses, 'This man must be put to death. The whole community will stone him outsidethe camp.'	35 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "L'uomo morirà: lo lapiderà tutta la comunità fuori dell'accampamento".
36 The whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him til he was dead, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.	36 E tutta la comunità lo fece uscire fuori dell'accampamento, lo lapidarono e morì, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
37 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	37 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:
38 'Speak to the Israelites and tell them, for all generations to come, to put tassels on the hems of theirclothes and work a violet thread into the tassel at the hem.	38 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro che si facciano delle frange alle estremità dei loro vestiti nelle loro generazioni e mettano alle frange dell'estremità un filo di porpora.
39 You wil thus have a tassel, and the sight of it wil remind you of al Yahweh's orders and how youare to put them into practice, and not follow the dictates of your own heart and eyes, which have led you to beunfaithful.	39 Sarà la vostra frangia: la vedrete e vi ricorderete di tutti i precetti del Signore: li compirete, senza vagare dietro ai vostri cuori e ai vostri occhi, seguendo i quali vi prostituite.
40 'This wil remind you of all my orders; put them into practice, and you wil be consecrated to yourGod.	40 Così vi ricorderete e praticherete tutti i miei precetti, e sarete santi per il vostro Dio.
41 I, Yahweh your God, have brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh your God.'	41 Io sono il Signore, vostro Dio, che vi ho fatto uscire dalla terra d'Egitto per essere il vostro Dio. Io, il Signore, sono il vostro Dio".
