1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have arrived in the country where you are to live andwhich I am giving to you,	2 דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי תבאו אל ארץ מושבתיכם אשר אני נתן לכם
3 and you burn food as an offering to Yahweh either as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice, whether inpayment of a vow, or as a voluntary gift, or on the occasion of one of your solemn feasts, from your herds andflocks as a smel pleasing to Yahweh:	3 ועשיתם אשה ליהוה עלה או זבח לפלא נדר או בנדבה או במעדיכם לעשות ריח ניחח ליהוה מן הבקר או מן הצאן
4 the offerer wil , as his personal gift to Yahweh, bring a cereal offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fineflour mixed with one-quarter of a hin of oil.	4 והקריב המקריב קרבנו ליהוה מנחה סלת עשרון בלול ברבעית ההין שמן
5 You will also make a libation of wine, one-quarter of a hin to each lamb, in addition to the burntoffering or sacrifice.	5 ויין לנסך רביעית ההין תעשה על העלה או לזבח לכבש האחד
6 For a ram, you will make a cereal offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-thirdof a hin of oil,	6 או לאיל תעשה מנחה סלת שני עשרנים בלולה בשמן שלשית ההין
7 and a libation of one-third of a hin of wine as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	7 ויין לנסך שלשית ההין תקריב ריח ניחח ליהוה
8 If you offer a bul as a burnt offering or sacrifice, in payment of a vow or as a communion sacrifice forYahweh,	8 וכי תעשה בן בקר עלה או זבח לפלא נדר או שלמים ליהוה
9 in addition to the animal you wil offer a cereal offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixedwith half a hin of oil,	9 והקריב על בן הבקר מנחה סלת שלשה עשרנים בלול בשמן חצי ההין
10 and you wil offer a libation of half a hin of wine, as food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	10 ויין תקריב לנסך חצי ההין אשה ריח ניחח ליהוה
11 This wil be done for every bul , every ram, every lamb or kid.	11 ככה יעשה לשור האחד או לאיל האחד או לשה בכבשים או בעזים
12 Whatever the number of victims you intend to offer, you wil do the same for each of them, howevermany there are.	12 כמספר אשר תעשו ככה תעשו לאחד כמספרם
13 "Every citizen of the country wil act in this way whenever he offers food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh;	13 כל האזרח יעשה ככה את אלה להקריב אשה ריח ניחח ליהוה
14 and if an alien residing with you or with your descendants intends to offer food burnt as a smelpleasing to Yahweh, he wil do as you do.	14 וכי יגור אתכם גר או אשר בתוככם לדרתיכם ועשה אשה ריח ניחח ליהוה כאשר תעשו כן יעשה
15 There wil be one law for you, members of the community, and the resident alien alike, a law bindingyour descendants for ever: before Yahweh you and the resident alien are no different.'	15 הקהל חקה אחת לכם ולגר הגר חקת עולם לדרתיכם ככם כגר יהיה לפני יהוה
16 One law, one statute, wil apply for you and the resident alien." '	16 תורה אחת ומשפט אחד יהיה לכם ולגר הגר אתכם
17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	17 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
18 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have entered the country to which I am bringing you,	18 דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם בבאכם אל הארץ אשר אני מביא אתכם שמה
19 you wil set a portion aside for Yahweh when you eat that country's bread.	19 והיה באכלכם מלחם הארץ תרימו תרומה ליהוה
20 You wil set one cake aside as the first-fruits of your dough; you will set this offering aside like theone set aside from your threshing.	20 ראשית ערסתכם חלה תרימו תרומה כתרומת גרן כן תרימו אתה
21 For al future generations you will set a portion of your dough aside for Yahweh.	21 מראשית ערסתיכם תתנו ליהוה תרומה לדרתיכם
22 "If through inadvertence you fail in any of these orders which Yahweh has given to Moses	22 וכי תשגו ולא תעשו את כל המצות האלה אשר דבר יהוה אל משה
23 (whatever orders Yahweh has given you or your descendants through Moses, from the day whenYahweh gave his orders),	23 את כל אשר צוה יהוה אליכם ביד משה מן היום אשר צוה יהוה והלאה לדרתיכם
24 this is what must be done: "If it is an inadvertence on the part of the community, the community as awhole wil offer a young bull as a burnt offering, as a smell pleasing to Yahweh, with the prescribedaccompanying cereal offering and libation, and a he-goat as a sacrifice for sin.	24 והיה אם מעיני העדה נעשתה לשגגה ועשו כל העדה פר בן בקר אחד לעלה לריח ניחח ליהוה ומנחתו ונסכו כמשפט ושעיר עזים אחד לחטת
25 The priest wil perform the rite of expiation for the entire community of Israelites, and they wil beforgiven, since it was an inadvertence. Once they have brought their offering as food burnt for Yahweh, and havepresented their sacrifice for sin before Yahweh to make amends for their inadvertence,	25 וכפר הכהן על כל עדת בני ישראל ונסלח להם כי שגגה הוא והם הביאו את קרבנם אשה ליהוה וחטאתם לפני יהוה על שגגתם
26 the whole community of Israelites wil be forgiven, as also the alien residing with them, since theentire people acted by inadvertence.	26 ונסלח לכל עדת בני ישראל ולגר הגר בתוכם כי לכל העם בשגגה
27 "If it is an individual who has sinned by inadvertence, he wil offer a yearling kid as a sacrifice for sin.	27 ואם נפש אחת תחטא בשגגה והקריבה עז בת שנתה לחטאת
28 The priest wil perform the rite of expiation before Yahweh for the person who has gone astray owingto this sin of inadvertence and, expiation having been made for him, he will be forgiven;	28 וכפר הכהן על הנפש השגגת בחטאה בשגגה לפני יהוה לכפר עליו ונסלח לו
29 whether he is an Israelite citizen or a resident alien, you wil have one law for anyone who sins byinadvertence.	29 האזרח בבני ישראל ולגר הגר בתוכם תורה אחת יהיה לכם לעשה בשגגה
30 "But the individual who acts deliberately, be he citizen or alien, commits an outrage against Yahweh,and such a man wil be outlawed from his people.	30 והנפש אשר תעשה ביד רמה מן האזרח ומן הגר את יהוה הוא מגדף ונכרתה הנפש ההוא מקרב עמה
31 Since he has treated Yahweh's word with contempt and has disobeyed his order, such a man wil beoutlawed absolutely and wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '	31 כי דבר יהוה בזה ואת מצותו הפר הכרת תכרת הנפש ההוא עונה בה
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was caught gathering wood on the Sabbath day.	32 ויהיו בני ישראל במדבר וימצאו איש מקשש עצים ביום השבת
33 Those who caught him gathering wood brought him before Moses, Aaron and the whole community.	33 ויקריבו אתו המצאים אתו מקשש עצים אל משה ואל אהרן ואל כל העדה
34 He was kept in custody, because the penalty he should undergo had not yet been fixed.	34 ויניחו אתו במשמר כי לא פרש מה יעשה לו
35 Yahweh said to Moses, 'This man must be put to death. The whole community will stone him outsidethe camp.'	35 ויאמר יהוה אל משה מות יומת האיש רגום אתו באבנים כל העדה מחוץ למחנה
36 The whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him til he was dead, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.	36 ויציאו אתו כל העדה אל מחוץ למחנה וירגמו אתו באבנים וימת כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
37 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	37 ויאמר יהוה אל משה לאמר
38 'Speak to the Israelites and tell them, for all generations to come, to put tassels on the hems of theirclothes and work a violet thread into the tassel at the hem.	38 דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם ועשו להם ציצת על כנפי בגדיהם לדרתם ונתנו על ציצת הכנף פתיל תכלת
39 You wil thus have a tassel, and the sight of it wil remind you of al Yahweh's orders and how youare to put them into practice, and not follow the dictates of your own heart and eyes, which have led you to beunfaithful.	39 והיה לכם לציצת וראיתם אתו וזכרתם את כל מצות יהוה ועשיתם אתם ולא תתרו אחרי לבבכם ואחרי עיניכם אשר אתם זנים אחריהם
40 'This wil remind you of all my orders; put them into practice, and you wil be consecrated to yourGod.	40 למען תזכרו ועשיתם את כל מצותי והייתם קדשים לאלהיכם
41 I, Yahweh your God, have brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh your God.'	41 אני יהוה אלהיכם אשר הוצאתי אתכם מארץ מצרים להיות לכם לאלהים אני יהוה אלהיכם
