NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Moab, I have made my decree and will notrelent: because they have burnt the bones of the king of Edom to ash,	1 Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Moab et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod incenderit ossa regis Edom usque ad cinerem,
2 I shal send fire down into Moab to devour the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab will die in the tumult, amidwar cries and the blare of trumpets;	2 mittam ignem in Moab, et devorabit aedes Carioth, et morietur in tumultu Moab, in clamore et voce tubae;
3 I shal destroy the ruler there and slaughter al the chief men there with him, says Yahweh.	3 disperdam iudicem de medio eius et omnes principes eius interficiam cum eo ”, dicit Dominus.
4 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Judah, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have despised Yahweh's law and not kept his commandments, since their Falsehoods,which their ancestors followed, have led them astray,	4 Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Iudae et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod abiecerint legem Domini et mandata eius non custodierint C deceperunt enim eos idola sua, post quae abierant patres eorum C
5 I shal send fire down on Judah to devour the palaces of Jerusalem.	5 mittam ignem in Iudam, et devorabit aedes Ierusalem ”.
6 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Israel, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have sold the upright for silver and the poor for a pair of sandals,	6 Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Israel et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod vendiderint pro argento iustum et pauperem pro calceamentis;
7 because they have crushed the heads of the weak into the dust and thrust the rights of the oppressedto one side, father and son sleeping with the same girl and thus profaning my holy name,	7 qui contriverint super pulverem terrae capita pauperum et viam humilium declinaverint, et filius ac pater eius iverint ad puellam, ut violarent nomen sanctum meum;
8 lying down beside every altar on clothes acquired as pledges, and drinking the wine of the people theyhave fined in the house of their god.	8 et super vestimentis pignoratis accubuerint iuxta omne altare et vinum damnatorum biberint in domo Dei sui.
9 Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, he who was as tal as the cedars, as strong as theoaks; I who destroyed his fruit above ground and his roots below.	9 Ego autem exterminaveram Amorraeum a facie eorum, cuius altitudo sicut altitudo cedrorum, et fortitudo quasi quercuum; exterminaveram fructum eius desuper et radices eius subter.
10 It was I who brought you up from Egypt and for forty years led you through the desert to takepossession of the Amorite's country;	10 Ego ascendere vos feci de terra Aegypti et duxi vos in deserto quadraginta annis, ut possideretis terram Amorraei;
11 I who raised up prophets from your sons and Nazirites from your young men. Israelites, is this nottrue? -declares Yahweh!	11 et suscitavi de filiis vestris prophetas et de iuvenibus vestris nazaraeos. Numquid non ita est, filii Israel?, dicit Dominus.
12 But you have made the Nazirite drink wine and given orders to the prophets, 'Do not prophesy.'	12 Et propinastis nazaraeis vinum et prophetis mandastis dicentes: “Ne prophetetis”.
13 Very wel ! Like a cart overloaded with sheaves I shall crush you where you stand;	13 Ecce ego comprimam vos ad solum, sicut comprimit plaustrum onustum feno;
14 flight wil be cut off for the swift, the strong will have no chance to exert his strength nor the warrior beable to save his life;	14 deerit fuga a veloce, et fortis non firmabit virtutem suam, et robustus non salvabit animam suam;
15 the archer wil not stand his ground, the swift of foot wil not escape, nor will the horseman save hislife;	15 tenens arcum non stabit, et velox pedibus suis non salvabitur; ascensor equi non salvabit animam suam,
16 even the bravest of warriors will jettison his arms and run away, that day! -declares Yahweh!	16 et fortissimus corde inter robustos nudus fugiet in illa die ”, dicit Dominus.
